Tall women pants sizes and weight?

At 5'11, 215 lbs I wore a stretchy US size 16 tall (Old Navy jeans have a lot of stretch to them). At 153 lbs, my size 10 lbs are baggy and I think I'm ready to size down to US size 8 tall. I'm going to wait another few lbs before I go shopping.0

I'm 6'0. My heaviest was at 221, started MFP at 215 and my pant size was 14 (tight though) to 16. I'm now at 172 pounds (and staying there ) and wear 12. I carry a good amount of my weight in my legs and booty.
If anybody needs new friends, please feel free to add me.0 -
I'm 5'8" and currently 189lbs. I'm in a size 12 but they are pretty baggy. I will definitely be in a size 10 in the next 5-10lbs. I could probably fit into some now. When I was around 150-155lbs I wore a size 8 and was on my way to size 6. I would like to be a size 4 or 6 and I think that will be around 140lbs for me. I would be fine with going up to 150lbs if I could be even more muscular but leaner. I plan to lose to 140 and then add 10lbs of muscle over time. I think I also look lighter than I am. I'm a pear shape but realize I don't really have hips. I'm all butt and thighs. I work out so my arms are bigger than they would have been naturally so that kind of balances things out.0

I am 5'-10" I currently weigh 166. I am wearing a size 6 or 8 pants. Goal is to get to 145. I was down to 155-160 but I started lifting weights and now I am gaining weight. Really making me upset to see the number getting bigger even though I am feeling better in clothes overall. Also, I cut out alcohol all together (about 4 months) and that doesn't seem to make a difference. Another aggravating point.0

I am 5'9" and 150-160lbs but wear size 12-13/14 pants and sm/med shirts. I wouldn't give too much credit to pants sizes. Value your hard work based on how it makes you feel (think energy, stress relief, emotional stability rather than sizes, inches and lbs)1

5'9 started at 230, pant size about 18, have been at 150/ size 6-8 since about the end of September.0

5'7" - started at 280-ish lbs, size 24W (US) - currently 182 lbs, size 10 or 12 depending on the brand0

I'm 5'7. At 185 I was in a US 14/16. Currently, at 170, I'm a 12/14. I think I carry my weight most in my hips and thighs. Even in high school at 120 I don't think I ever wore anything smaller than a 6 in pants. A lady once told me I had good baby making hips0

I'm 6ft even. At my heaviest I was 305 and wore size 24s that were quite tight. Lost 100lbs and am now 205. I wear 18s that are quite roomy, but I can't quite fit my tush comfortably into a 16. Maybe in another 5-10 lbs? I carry my weight in my belly, but my legs are thin and muscular.0

I'm 5'5. My heaviest was upwards of 266 and I wore 24/26. Now I am at 199 and wear 16/18.0

SW@248 - Size 22
CW@210 - Size 16
GW@185- Last time I was there I was a 14.
I like clothes/jeans from Duluth Trading. Long inseams, good quality.0 -
I'm 5'10", at my heaviest, 265lbs, I wore a size 20. My current weight is 254 and I wear a snug 18. I'm smaller framed but carry my weight on mid section. My goal is to be 135, size 4.0

I'm just a shade under 5'11" current weight 155lbs and I wear a UK 12-14.
At my heaviest (175lbs) I still wore a UK 14. I'm pretty well proportioned but have a 36" inside leg so trousers are a nightmare and my hips and tummy are always the last place to slim down.
Here's hoping that my last 5lbs will get me safely into a 12.0 -
I sure hope I'm dealing with vanity sizing because at 5'10" and a weight where everyone else says they're wearing 20-22, I'm still in 24-26. I've even got some 26 that are still too tight. Or I've just got really fluffy fat.0

This is why it's useless to compare clothing sizes. We all carry our weight differently. You may have a larger bottom half, but at the same weight, you'll likely have a more slender top half.
There's also differences in sizing between manufacturers, differences in frame size, muscle and bone mass, and even just our individual preference for clothing fit -- I like to wear mine loose, but plenty of women like to wear their clothing snug.
It's all just random numbers that society has decided means something. But it doesn't.1 -
I'm 5'11". Started at 237 and a size 18W, now I'm 186 and today I'm wearing a size 12. Depending on the pants though I wear anything from a 12 to a 16. I buy a lot of my clothes at thrift stores so I typically just go by the waist and hip measurements instead of the size tag because vanity sizing has made it impossible to know exactly what size to buy when shopping at thrift stores. And my size 12 Old Navy jeans are too loose but the size 14 pair I just bought at Target are too tight.0

6'1" at my highest weight of 350, I was a size 20 US. Now at 195, I am size 12 (although I have one pair that is 10, one pair from about 5 years ago which is 14, and one pair from about 10 years ago who's is size 16-so definitely0

Definitely vanity sizing!)0

5'9" and 198 and in a 10/12 usually, depends on the brand and how much stretch is in the pants too. I tend to carry weight in my stomach and my butt and legs are smaller. Also been doing a lot of fitness so I think that's been helping me move down in sizes0

I'm 5'8". At 275 I wore 24/26. Now at 195 and am wearing a 16. I could wear smaller through the butt and thighs but the belly is holding me up.0

I'm 5'8, 270, and I wear a size 20. When I was 250 I was in a size 18. I carry my weight fairly proportionally with a my bottom half being favored.0

I'm 6'1" and so happy to see fellow 6 foot tall ladies!!! I started at 320 in a 22. Now I'm 257 in a 16/18. I do have a big belly but according to my measurements, I am an hourglass.
I agree with others here that clothing sizes are unreliable and every body is different but if this helps motivate you, great!0 -
~ I'm 5'11
SW was 327 lbs and was a size 28 pants and 3x tops
CW am 197 lbs and a size 12 pants and LG tops
Because I strength train while I've lost, my weight has come off different. I would be one size bigger in clothes if not working out at this weight.

I'm 5'10" and 142 lbs. I wear a 4 or a 6 (depending on the brand) and I tend to carry my weight in my thighs and triceps.0

5'7"
My highest 180 size 14
I'm 135 in a size 8 but maybe a size 6 I'm in juniors right now so I'm in a 7 but in women's sizes I'm not sure completely. These were the only old pants I had and I'm too cheap to buy new ones haha0
