Haha that reminds me... my favorite local ice cream shop has this sign in their store when people ask about calories:

Love the sign! The virtual me is in Wisconsin going for that ice cream.
And I'm like a 2 min walk to Trader Joe's so I'm gonna pop in during my extra long going to get the mail time to see if they have it and what the damage is and maybe try and talk them into demoing it.
Edited to add: 450 calories per serving/900 for the whole container and...it's not a big container. :I3 -

Yeah, I looked at the kunefe this weekend at TJ's and then put it right back when I saw the calorie count. It looks good, not *that* good.0 -

Noreenmarie1234 wrote: »Saw these come up on my instagram feed with ad by company "try us free". So I messaged them and they had me buy the chips on amazon and sent me a paypal refund immediately! I was worried they wouldn't but then I figured, well I can just cancel the order or return if they didn't lol. Thought I'd let you guys know in case anyone else wants to try them! Just DM them on instagram.
Thank you so much for posting about this!!!! My box of chips just came today, and I really enjoyed them! I'll be honest, not something I would probably pay to get again since I prefer Quest tortilla chips (way more protein, although vegans might prefer Satisbite chips). Per bag they're only about $2.08 versus Quest's $2.25, which is pretty close, but there's also more chips in the Satisbite bags than Quest puts in theirs.
I LOVED the flavor, the only thing I wasn't crazy about was the slight mushy texture when you chew it, like other rice puffed chips have.
Regardless, I'll have NO problem finishing the other bags!!!
Also... I saw this on Brand Eating's website... I REALLY wish I lived around the Little Caesars testing this!!!!

Honestly I’m not crazy about the Key Lime Halo Top. It’s too sour, tart, and reminds me more of sorbet than it does ice cream. I’m sure people who are huge fans of sorbet or Key Lime will like it, but I kind of regret buying two pints of it when I could’ve gotten an extra salted caramel or lemon cake instead.

I tried it last night. It was OK, but definitely not my favorite. I'd rather have PB&J.2 -

Based on what people say about peanut butter, my guess is the sad volume to calorie ratio.0 -

I had gathered some packaged mixes in the past several weeks which I never bothered to make because I forgot and/or the calorie count was so high when made according to the instructions that I just didn't want to make it. Doing this, I rediscovered the versatility of Greek yogurt and learned that I am okay with omitting oil/butter. I Googled around beforehand and then tested everything out.
Products & Results:
1. Manischewitz - Extra Moist Chocolate Cake Mix with Fudge Frosting
I. I left out the tablespoons of oil from both the frosting and batter mix, and the cake was still quite moist and delicious. I accidentally used too much water for the frosting which is why it looks a little runny.
2. Trader Joe's - Pumpkin Bread and Muffin Mix
II. I substituted 57 g (~1/4 cup) of plain Greek yogurt for 1/2 a cup of vegetable oil and added a bit more water than recommended until the consistency looked/felt right. The muffin/bread/cake I got out of it was pleasantly dense and good. I'm so sad I can't buy anymore until Fall comes around again!
3. Cracker Barrel - Oven Baked Macaroni & Cheese Dinner Sharp Cheddar Flavor
III. I left out the oil and noticed no difference from regular boxed mac & cheese brands that only require a cheese sauce packet.
4. Betty Crocker - Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
IV. I replaced the 1/2 cup of butter with 100 g of plain Greek yogurt and ~2 tbsp of water. I was warned ahead of time that with yogurt, cookies become more cake-like in texture, but I didn't mind it at all.
To reiterate, maybe I'm just not picky enough, but I realize that substitutions/omissions mean little to me. The quality vs calorie savings suits me well, and I'm going to continue on this way.8 -

Huamei or Plum Wah Mui (they go by different names) These aren't new to me, but I haven't had any in a long time and my beloved hubby just brought in a big bag of them and I'm thrilled. These are definitely an "acquired taste", (they taste super salty/sweet/savory/sour and YUMMY) but honey...once you acquire the taste, they will become such a treat to indulge in every once and while!
The traditional huamei were basically dried and salted plums, scented with licorice and sometimes other ingredients like: lemon juice, aniseed, cloves or cinnamon.

I don’t know, I like sickeningly sweet desserts so I’m actually really tempted if it wasn’t for the price haha xD
So I went into Aldi’s for those peanut butter and salted caramel low calorie ice cream pints, and ended up splurging on cute little ice cream cups (only 100 calories each) and orange push pops (80 calories)! I didn’t know they sold all that, it brought me back to my childhood haha but of course I forgot a quarter and a bag so I was limited to how much my arms could hold
Also saw this and a black cherry one which both looked really good, but like I said I couldn’t hold any more lol, it said like 130 calories though per cup which I find REALLY hard to believe o.o
