So many of you say your doing StrongLifts 5x5, I want to do this but I can't afford to purchase a barbell set. So I was wondering if I can just use my dumbbells? Thoughts??

To an extent. There are posts on here and elsewhere about adapting barbell routines to dumbbells.

You'll soon tap out the weight you have available to you for things like deadlifts and squats. Pressing movements will be a different matter and you'll be able to milk those for a little while to go.

If you have an extremely limited supply of dumbbells (i.e. not even heavy enough to get going on squats) then you'll probably be best looking to bodyweight strength routines like YAYOG or Convict Conditioning, since working up to stuff like pistols can be challenging with bodyweight alone, let alone when weighted with dumbbells.

Oh, undoubtedly it can be done. But she said she wanted to use her dumbbells, so I was kinda assuming she didn't have a massive range available to her (as opposed to working out in a well-stocked gym).

Of course, that may be a terrible assumption on my part and she may have a giant rack of the buggers stashed away!

I agree- I wasn't trying to argue with you lol :). I didn't see you posted until I posted mine and then went back to edit to agree that she may tap out quickly if she doesn't have a large range because I didn't think to ask how large of a dumb bell selection she had.
