One day "off" per week

Will it hurt my progress (of building muscle) if I have one day a week where I don't care about my macros and eat what I want (still in my calorie goals)?

Not sure what you are asking, but if you divide 6 days by 7 days, you will see that one day a week will make your plan 15% less effective.

It wouldn't hurt your progress if you took 7 days off a week and stuck to your defecit

It might hurt your nutritional balance maximisation

But I've spent 8 months just on calorie defecit with only a nod towards trying to ensure adequate protein of 100g per day

Hang on I misread...you're bulking sorry ...assumed you were cutting

In which case protein and surplus but it won't matter that much

This is what I mean, on that day my protein (and overall nutrition) may or may not be adequate.

Will that hurt overall progress if it's just one day a week?
