It burns a minimal amount of calories. Because your body has to warm the cold water you just drank, the theory is it will help you lose weight. Maybe an extra ten calories. This is more of something to add to the wall that is your diet.0

Yes cold water has more calories and a higher glycemic index than room temperature water. I think it has something to do with the water molecules and their polar covalent bonds and how they react with temperature. One of my bros told me that, and he is lean as *kitten*, plus he curls like 135 in the squat rack, he doesn't squat though because he says it's bad for your knees. He totally crushes the leg press though all throughout that 2 inch range of motion.
I'm sorry but if you ask stupid questions you get stupid answers.
Drink your *kitten* water, but avoid icecubes. srs.0 -
Do you believe everything people tell you?0

OP, Eating at a calorie deficit is the only way to lose weight and has got nothing to do with the temperature of the water you drink.0
-
You have to drink boiling water to keep fat burning high. It's anabolic, trust me.0
-
Ask yourself whether that sounds reasonable.
The answer is no, it does not.0 -
Oh man. For the sake of your wellbeing, please stop being so naive.-1

Dude i think they started testing for that in shows and meets, after the piss test and weigh ins they make you drink only cold water and measure your temperature.

I don't know what's funnier, OP's post or the way people are reading it.
OP no. No it's not true. Because I get the impression you might not have been able to figure that out from the other posts.
Cold water will in no way stop you from losing weight.0 -

This is a myth by the way. If your body were a perfectly closed system, with no heat bleed through, that operated with perfect efficiency, it would be accurate. I'm convinced that's why it has legs, because you can sorta kinda make a case for it.0 -

Really? Is that a racist statement??
*disclaimer for white knights...that's an inside joke.
Uh huh against all the words on the screen people0 -
cold water will hit the bladders early....when you are cold you wanna go to the bathroom...so if you had eaten the '3 must food you must eat to lose fat', some of them may be lost in urine and jeopardize your fat loss.0

Seriously.... the temperature of the water you drink will have little effect on your weight loss. Drink your water at whatever temperature that you want. The key is to drink water instead of calorie laden drinks like soda or alcohol.0

everyone knows the perfect fat burning temperature for water is 69.9 degrees….0

I'd say drink as much water as you want, but don't drink too much though! At the least, 64oz of water is good enough. If you have to exercise and sweat a ton afterwards, then drinking a little more will help with that! Do what best for you is what I can say! Don't listen to other false advice!0
