Hey guys! Starting weight 154lbs Feb 2012. Started with lots of cardio, and ended up about 8 months into it really getting into HEAVY WEIGHT LIFTING. I'm not 116lbs. I've cut my cardio in HALF or more an focus on high protein diet and weight lifting.

I am only actually 23 days in. I am unable to use my left hand as I had a tumor removed so am unable to hold on to the machines or pull, lift, hold.... everything I have been doing is the treadmill, step climber and bike. My calorie intake is about 1500 cals. I work out 6 days a week about 45-80 min a day and stay active when I can. Its been working!

Amazing!! How tall are you? Just wondering because you have the exact same starting point/goal as me.

Long way to go, but I'm working on it2 -
I just started a fitness and clean eating plan one month ago and am really excited about results so far...I am, however, finding that the weight loss has sllllooowwwedddd down a lot. I know that will happen, but it's hard to deal with when you are working your butt off (literally!)0

You all look fantastic and your all inspirations for me! Love seeing these pics they keep me motivated. I have lost 14lbs since January which is not great I wasn't paying much attention to how many calories I was taking in and so I didn't have a loss for months. I have only just started MFP and I think it's fantastic especially when I see this pics. You are all fantastic well done you all look Hot :-)0

Hi guys you all look great BTW!
So here's mine... I was just over 200lbs in the first pic and its the one that made me realise I needed to loose the chub!
Second is 1 year later at just under 160lbs which I did through eating a net of 1400 cals through diet and exercise. Went to the gym once or twice a week and gave it my all. focused of the cardio, often burned between 200 and 600 cals on the treadmill and occasionally doing a few circuits with pull ups and push ups and ab exercises, leg curs etc (but not much). Also took up an hour of badminton once a week which burned about 350 cals. Roughly once a month i did indoor rock climbing which was about 600 cals
I ate my usual diet which included pasta, pizza, lasagne, Chinese, Sunday lunches, jacket potatoes, pies, sausage and mash, fish and chips BUT IN MODERATION! I learned what a portion really was and how to make it myself rather than buying ready meals. I stopped eating pasties and chocolate bars and fizzy drinks at lunch and made my own sandwiches and salads. All these changes saved me and my fiance about £250 a month on food! Amazing!
So now I'm slowly adding the calories back (only 1 week in so far) and plan to keep up the exercise
Now I wish I did more heavy lifting and learning about hypertrophy as my goals have changed from loosing fat to gaining muscle. Starting p90x shortly and can't wait to see the results!
This is exactly the look I want to head for.
Really well done!0 -
As everyone has mentioned. This tread is so inspiring. I'm already down 26 pounds since my initial weigh in, but its threads like these that have inspired me to go ahead and take that shirt off pic so I can post my results when I reach my goal. Thank you everyone.1
