You might be overthinking it. Don't worry so much about all that.
A bigger concern for most people is balance between opposing muscles. I have alot of links for that topic and I work to try to get my body in balance. Each joint has two muscles (or more) that work together to move a body part. While one is contracting, the other is lengthening.
My sore heel is the direct result of my body imbalances so I work to loosen my right calf, strengthen my right tibialis (shin), and also work on my upper leg balances.0
