We have all been there, you get up in the middle of the night go to your friend. The fridge. Open and look inside, cake, candy, soda, junk food, mmmm why not? So why is it so easy to do? Because our body is still I'm rest mode and our metabolism is shocked when we take that first bite, so how do we stop it? Support and real nutrition so we aren't hungry at night. I can help. Let's do this together!

Can you explain rest mode, and metabolism being shocked?

    I'm intrigued.

I have never done this - move into a 3 storey house :grinning:

Metabolisms can't be shocked - they just are, ticking along

I sleep through the night. My metabolism keeps working through the night too. You know, to keep my lungs breathing and my heart pumping and stuff...and even burning off that cookie I had before sleeptime :p

The only thing that wakes me up in the middle of the night is my bladder.

I don't eat after I go to bed until breakfast. I've used my calories for the day and I'm not hungry at night.
My fridge is not filled will cake, candy, soda and junk food. My candy is on a shelf in my bedroom. I still don't eat it in the middle of the night.
I think setting a reasonable calorie goal and eating so you aren't getting up hungry at night is a good first step. I think planning your day so you are eating satisfying food and getting enough nutrition could help but also just not bringing the problem foods home or developing some willpower to wait until morning is good too.
I think the rest mode and metabolism shock idea is BS.

It increases for him as he sleeps so he gets really hungry while dreaming.

This is a real issue people. Really the eating is just one problem. Sleep walking can be a rather dangerous nighttime activity.

personally I have never been a night eater. I have never woken up and rummaged through a cupboard or the fridge. I have gone on the computer before but that is super rare - like we're talking once or twice in the last 5 years.

If I am headed to sleep I am one of the luck ones that will sleep through the night soundly.
If you are so hungry you get up and eat, you probably aren't eating enough during the day. If you have a fridge full of junk that you can't resist, throw it out.
