Don't wanna heat up the oven to make some brownies? Then DON'T!

Not a fan of Nutella? Don't buy it!

Here's what you need:

150g pitted Medjool dates
100g walnuts
50g cocoa powder

Put ingredients into food processor.
Process.
Press into small pan.
Cut and devour.

I cut this into 9 pieces and then I eated them all. One piece gives you this:

132 cal
3g protein
8g fat
4g fiber
3% calcium
2mg sodium

If you can hold off, putting them in the fridge for a while is a good idea.

You can also optionally coat them with your choice of frosting. I recommend a ganache made of avocado, xylitol, cocoa or carob powder, and vanilla extract.

Coincidentally, Betty Crocker's brownie mix is only around 170 calories per brownie prepared.

Sounds awesome! Will be making this. I use dates in place of butter all the time in recipes. I wasn't exactly optimistic, but it's worked out great every time!

Man... All I do is post an "alternative" recipe that I happened to try and was pleasantly surprised at the results, and now the vegans and the cleans and the raws and the non-vegans and the non-cleans and the non-raws have gone to war...

    MFP, I am disappoint.

I'm neither vegan nor clean (though I did just have a shower) nor raw. I don't know which side to take, here...

    Screw it, I'm going fishing!

(Oh, I'm not paleo either. Don't let my profile fool you.)
