First time on this board. Riding goal 30 miles per week. Doesn't sound like much, but I also golf 3-4 times a week so time is an issue.

Hello again everyone!
I have not made it outside yet as winter is still hanging on where I live. They are even calling for more snow on Saturday!
I finally got a trainer this winter though. I roll out of bed, climb on the trainer and wake up about half way through my spin.

I agree! I 'won' 2 or 3 of the jerseys last summer and I really liked the look of one of them but was not even tempted with Strava's outrageous prices! Would have bought one if it was half price though.0 -

Miscalculation of their customer base? Take a look at who they contracted to make the kit; it caters to a very elite crowd. Strava could have gone with someone that make less pricier kit and/or discounted it for the added advertisement but that would take away from the mystic. And yes, too rich for my blood.

On my touring bicycle outside in a rural area not far from Hobart.
High temp: 17.7C
Wind gusting to 52 km/h (that presented a bit of a challenge)
Just a touch of drizzle at the beginningTuesday 03 March -- 27.24 km cycling in about 80 minutes, relatively flat.
March total: 67.46 km cycling ... and about 200 minutes.
Thursday 05 March -- 11.22 km in about 35 min, relatively flat.

Saturday 14 March -- my birthday was last Monday. We are gradually building up our cycling distance, and weren't quite ready for a ride of the distance of my age in miles last weekend. Yeah, I'm getting old. But we were ready this weekend!!
Today, we cycled 77.67 km (approx. 240 min), just slightly more than my age in miles.
Our route took us to the end of the cycleway and then on to New Norfolk where we stopped for lunch, then we continued on a little bit further before we turned around and returned home.
We had WIND gusting to 56 km/h which we battled all the way out, but fortunately, the wind didn't shift or die too much, so we had great tail wind on the way back.
And the rain held off. The weather people predicted rain starting at noon. We got a few sprinkles here and there, but nothing much. Not even enough to put on a rain jacket. But it rained heavily after we got in!

I just tried a virtual bike trainer program called ‘Zwift’ which was a lot of fun!
I know the indoor winter training is done for most people but you might want to check it out for next year. You do need a speed/cadence sensor on your bike or power peddles though.
