    OP - I get that you're being honest, and that you may have medical reasons for being less socially aware, but I don't think you come across as anyone who is ready to be a parent, whether to a special needs kid or not. If you can't see the irony in saying that the unfairness of the world would break your heart, then make horrible remarks about kids with physical disabilities, then you need some introspection.
