80s movies were alot of fun. They always had a story that made sense. Sometimes they would inspire you to want to follow a certain career path.
I know tons of 80s movies still sit in my head.

Which were some of your favorites?

The Breakfast Club made me realize that Chicks cannot hold de smoke. It also made me realize that I was ostracised by the other kids because I didn't hate my parents.

Oh, I loved some of the 80s movies.

    Fitzcarraldo

    Liquid Sky

    Diva

    Monsieur Hire

The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover (and Greenaway in general)

    Dangerous Liaisons

Local Hero (and Bill Forsyth in general)

    Sophie's Choice

    Brideshead Revisited on TV

P'Tang Yang Kipperbang (and Jack Rosenthal in general)

    The Neverending Story

I could go on and on - so many memorable films! And I haven't even started on the blockbusters like Back to the Future, Gremlins, Breakfast Club, etc. All of the above made an impression and I must get round to watching them all again. I agree with Legend, Labyrinth, Robocop - I love all those fantasy and sci-fi movies! Krull was great too!

Less than Zero - No one could make you want to try drugs more than Robert Downey Jr knob gobbling for drug money!

The Road Warrior - We knew every line of it by heart! (I still know a lot of them)

I wouldn't say it inspired me in any way, but I love Blade Runner.

Also Big Trouble in Little China, Sex, Lies and Videotape, and The Untouchables.

    I'm forgetting a bunch, I'm sure......

Top Gun is STILL my all time favorite movie!!! I can still recite it word for word...which I now realize isn't cool, it's just really annoying.
