I find more motivation in weighing daily. I understand the fluctuations but I also know that I would miss some of my 'lower' weights if I only weighed once a week.0

If I do have the odd gain it motivates me to sharpen up on the weighing / accounting and also to work a little harder at the gym - what Ive not been doing ( but have in the past ) is using it as an excuse to give up !
I also want under 200 as my next goal
Thank you its actually a loss of 115 pounds so far - here are a couple of piccies

I think it depends how you feel about the scale, and if it will have a negative or positive impact on you.
I weigh every morning, but more out of interest (I keep a separate record just because I'm a spreadsheet junkie). I don't find this detrimental as I don't get upset by the upward fluctuations as long as the overall trend is down (I only log it on MFP every week or so). It's just a part of my daily routine now.
I think it comes down to what works for you - we're all different, after all. If seeing fluctuations will motivate rather than discourage you, then go for it. It might be helpful for you to keep a record of this for a month or two, and that will give you a clearer picture of how your body fluctuates (and teach you not to go insane when the scale starts misbehaving during your period). If you think it will discourage you, then maybe weigh less. Find out what works for you!0 -

I weigh every morning either in bra/panties or a nightie (if it's little lol). I have the fitbit scale so it updates MFP daily. Fluctuations do not stress me out because I understand and trust the process. It's CICO and I am in a deficit so I'll lose weight. Should my weight start climbing beyond normal water weight, I want to know so I can reevaluate what I'm doing and get things back in check. This is forever. I have to keep myself honest and out of denial.0

Every wednesday I attend a local TOPS meeting...(Take Off Pounds Sensibly) and I weigh that morning at home. After I weigh at the meeting, I eat a banana or granola bar. It's tough because I want the numbers I see in the morning when I wake up to be the same as they get, (the scales are both digital and the same). Unfortunately, once you put on clothes THAT changes. Last year I decided to weigh at the meeting in my swiming suit, but the weight monitor said you have to wear weather appropriate clothing...sighes...Actually if I could go au' naturel' I would...its a weight room with a DOOR an' everything! I would probably make the recorder have a fit! Her reason for the no go on the suit was that it wasn't the same outfit I wore the first of the year when my weight is logged in. Details....details....0

I weigh every single day. But, thankfully, it's no longer an emotional activity. I know if I've weighed everything and logged accurately that the weight will come off sooner or later. I tried jogging again a couple of days ago and my legs were swollen the next day. So, I stayed the same even though I know I ate at a deficit. I woke up the next day and my legs weren't puffy anymore and I had another 1 lb loss. I know if I've had too much salt close to bedtime and not enough water. I know when that time of the month is going to show up based on that suspicious uptick in weight.
But, to keep myself motivated here, I only log losses and during that time of the month I don't bother weighing until the last day of it. I don't log that half lb uptick in weight because I know it's not a result of a calorie overage.
Some days I just can't get into breakfast and end up with more of my calories right before bed which means that food won't have processed through yet when I weigh in the next morning.
If you can keep yourself from being overly emotional about what the scale says, than weigh everyday and watch the fun ways your body varies.. lol0 -
I have been not eating 2 hrs before I go to bed...thus awaking and I AM hungry. The point of breakfast is just that...breaking the fast. It starts the day off with a bang, and a rush of energy. Eating so close to bed is not a great thing for me. Maybe I am just old and my innerds need the rest of processing :-) Anyway, it is my thing that I do.0
