HRM not counting correctly

Hello I have a new balance for women HR monitor, i get it to caluculate my heart rate a few minutes before starting my work out but during my work out it moves and either stops counting or counts low heart beats. Does nayone have any suggestions on how to make it stay in place? I have big girls so Im not sure if that might be a reason:blushing:

I had problems with my Heart Rate monitor strap moving too while I was working out. I just kept adjusting tighter... I read that with some straps it's important to have a little "moisture" between the strap and you skin for it to start calculating but that usually takes no time... I also had problems with the HRM calculating in the 200+s and found out that I can't have my iPod or phone close by or it messes up the frequency. :ohwell: Hope you discover what's up with you HRM.

The other thing is to wash your strap. I have a Polar FT4 and find that when it has transmission issues, if I wash the strap, the errors stop. Also be sure the strap is tight and that nothing is getting between the strap and skin. I had a top with a built in bra that was fine until I had lost about 40lbs and after that I had a problem with the bra band slipping between the strap and my skin.

Clean strap, contacts, be sure you are wearing the strap properly.....All of these are important.
