even water, in a high enough amount, can kill you.
everything in moderation
I agree! Any one thing in excess isn't good. I doubt that raw vegans are strictly eating one thing - just as everyone else eats a mixed diet. Even normal people eat more than just Mac and cheese. I think that certain things (a lot of processed food) are obviously bad for you just as everyone knows candy is. It doesn't mean you can't have it. Just practice moderation.

But I'm not saying you shouldn't eat raw, or clean or sugar or donuts - I'm saying that the thinknig behind excessive restriction, especially when brought on by fear or food curism, may be ironically counter-productive.
So this.
I read a story of a mother who poisoned her toddler with zinc. She self-diagnosed the child's lethargy as a zinc deficiency.
I get nervous every time someone mentions eliminating a macro from their diet. If they don't like onions, mushrooms, or kale, that's fine. There are plenty of foods to replace them. But trying to eliminate carbs? The poor body does backflips to compensate, and the dietary contortions just get ridiculous.0
