What do you do when you crave sugar?

I reallllly want something sweet like maybe some ice cream from Baskin Robins but i'm afraid i'll go overboard any suggestions?

Order a small portion and leave with it. Enjoy it.
If you can't do that, sometimes a small piece of sharp cheese can combat a sweet craving.0 -
I buy epsom salt and soak in the tub to absorb the magnesium. When you crave sweets it means your body needs magnesium.0

I eat ice cream and chocolate on a regular basis. I think sweet cravings are easier to fit into my daily goal than my salty/savory cravings. I actually eat more desserts and sweets now that I'm losing weight than I did before.0

I'd have the bit of ice cream (smallest amt) and eat slowly. Also look up banana ice cream. Basically smushed bananas. You can add cocoa too. So yummy!0 -
If you really don't want to fit any sweets in to your day, you can always do sugar free gum like Extra has really fun yummy flavors. Gives you a sweet taste and keeps your jaw busy0

I get this, especially in the evenings! I combat it with some yummy hot tea, with a splash of flavored coffee creamer or a drizzle of honey (or if I have absolutely no calories left to use, some stevia). It's sweet, and the hot temperature makes for slow sipping. I super duper love Vanilla Caramel flavored tea from Bigelow or any type of chai.0

Exactly this, including the cheese alternative. Something sour like a pickle also sometimes works for me, but I'd just do a single serving of the thing I was craving, more likely. Often going for really high quality makes a small serving seem worthwhile, too. Dark chocolate often works well for a sweet craving if you like it, since it's less sweet but pretty decadent and intense.
Or try the banana-based desserts if you like banana.0 -

I like mixing a bit of Greek yogurt with either a little bit of pudding mix or crushed up sweets and freezing it. Although usually by the time I'm done with my add ins I may as well just have eaten a small portion of ice cream lol0

I eat fruit (esp grapes). I find that if I avoid refined sugar, and substitute just raw fruit, it eventually ends the cravings. Same with salty stuff (I've had some serious cravings for both salt and sugar). Everyone's different, but for me, avoidance is the only alternative to deal with sugar/salt cravings. They go away completely after 3 days abstinence.0

I eat a 100 calorie brownie in a mug!
1 tbsp flour
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp cocoa
Pinch of baking soda
Pinch of salt
2 tbsp Apple sauce.
Mix well and microwave for 1 min 15 seconds. Works very well for me!0 -

im baaad. I have some of the longer lasting sweets and eat then within reason. If I go a bit overboard I accept it might have slowed the weight loss or alternatively I will put in some more exercise.
Obviously you have the choice to moderate and have a small portion. Ice cream isnt bad on calories at all. Make it last.
Btw if you use search on sweet tooth then lots of people have alternative low calorie solutions which gives them most of the buzz without the calories.0 -
Strawberries are my go to for sugar cravings.
Or no sugar chocolate, nor sugar drinking chocolate or no sugar strawberry powder.0 -

I have good quality dark chocolate chips. One serving is 70 calories, but quite a few chips. Eating them one at a time lets me savor them longer. Some days I'll have a tablespoon of peanut butter with then. It feels really indulgent but doesn't put me over.
When I feel like putting in more effort, I make banana "ice cream" - frozen bananas blended with whatever flavor you want (chocolate, peanut butter, vanilla, strawberry, honey, etc). It's a little more calories and sugar, but the consistency is just like soft ice cream, so it makes a good fakeout.0 -
I do not crave chocolate at all until it is that TOM so the last two days I just made a heath bar fit in to my daily cals. I only am eating a half tonight though. GOOD LUCK! I wanted ice cream too but was afraid to do exactly that lol0

I eat dates, raisins, or a banana with honey and cinnamon. I had a piece of cake today for someone's birthday and I've felt like crap all day. (Oh yeah and an added twist is I was the one who baked it! I have mad cake decorating skills ;-) But I don't usually eat that so it's more of a psychological thing and it's to the point where I just can't eat that stuff anymore and just enjoy it. Bring on the fruit please!0
