I once watched a Body Combat class (briefly, I'm not a pervert). I don't think I'd manage more than 5 minutes before keeling over (doing, not watching).

The first few classes you take are tough, but they are so empowering. If I do two back to back classes of body pump and combat I burn over 1000 caleries ! They are a good confidence booster as well

I've been doing the new Les Mills spin classes and they're great.
My gym have recently introduced immersive spinning which is also by less mills, it's taken spinning to the next level!

I used to take Bodypump but got kinda bored with it... I love combat though, but I've only been doing the DVDs at home, haven't gone to a class yet.

I have the Combat and Pump dvds at home. They're so much fun, and Combat is my favorite program I've done so far. I haven't been to any classes.

I do body combat and body pump and I am totally in love with RPM. I used to hate stationary biking but right now I do not finish my week without at least two sessions of RPM

I LOOOOVE me some Pump. And I took my first Body flow yesterday and loved it! Pump has completely changed my body...I have definition and feel strong. I love and am completely addicted to that burn feeling you get when you're done!!! I've tried Combat, but I was awful!

Give combat a few weeks! After a few classes I started to get better with form!! I totally agree, I LOVE pump. After two months of doing pump I have started to get stronger and notice definition as well!!! Body flow is pretty cool too, I feel incredible after I take it. I did my first body attack class on Thursday, definitely made me sweat !

I'm doing a body pump class for the first time in a year this eve. Any tips on how I can avoid the terrible DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) I usually get when starting out?

Sorry, just saw this. Hydrating and stretching brgore hand with a protein based breakfast helps. And bananas a great to eat before a work out !! Go light on the weights to start. Then adjust accordingly. If you don't lift weights and you are just starting pump, post soreness is inevitable unfortunately. Protein shakes also help with recovery and muscle building ! I usually do a scoop or two (depending on the intensity of my workout) 30 min to an hour after pump!

Yep, when I first saw the name I assumed it was pronounced Frenchly, but no. It's some guy whose name is Les.

Hi! Just found your post.. I'm a Les Mills addict! Combat, Attack, Pump, RPM, and my favorite..Grit Strength and Cardio! Grit is very expensive for Gyms to have. Something like $1,700 per month, just for one location. My local Gold's is awesome, but they only have one location offering grit. I go out of my way for these!
