    I also buy separates. I believe that shocking people with all my skin is a good strategy ;)
    I go to shops that also specialize in lingerie, like La Vie en Rose or Victoria's Secret. Even though I have smaller bust, I prefer underwired styles with lots of support and coverage. For bottoms, I prefer ones with ties at the sides, so I can adjust without having any icky ooze of muffin top. By the way, I'm 50 and feel fine in a bikini.
