NO NOT IF U ARE TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT

If you had a cheat day once in a while you might have the strength to push that capslock key down so you're not constantly *shouting* at people, which is considered rude.

Plus, she might not be so hangry all of the time.

I love people who insist on being a bad example.

Okay according to whom? You're the only one making the choices. I'd say up your calorie goal a few hundred, work in some sweets every day so you don't feel deprived, and you won't need the cheat days.

    In...

...because I would lose 2+ pounds/week at 2000 daily calories.

    I don't call 2000 calorie days "cheating"...

    ...I call it "undereating".

So anyhow...*now* I'll go back and catch up on what this thread is about...

ETA: I see that this thread is about someone trying to stick to 1200 daily calories when at least a slightly higher amount is probably better for her. That said, if making up the difference on the weekends works for her, then that's better than maintaining too large of a deficit. Personally, I would increase that daily limit until I found the maximum amount of calories I could eat while still making satisfactory progress toward my goal.
