It's like jemmhh said: sizing isn't standardized at all. But, FWIW: 5'8", 148 (goal: 142) current sizes that fit comfortably are 6 & 8. Although, in dresses - 10.0

I think frame size plays a part too. https://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/fsz
What a cool site - thank you for posting! According to it, I have a small frame. Guess I wasn't as "big-boned" as I thought. Now I feel dumb, LOL!
I'm 5'6" and 193 lbs. with (apparently) a small frame. Right now, I'm wearing about a size 16-18 in women's and a 38 in men's jeans (my brother gives me his hand-me-downs). When I was around 155 lbs., I think I was wearing a size 10-12 in women's.0 -
I feel like sizing is such a mess.
I'm 5'0" and 145 right now. I'm in mostly size 8 pants, some 6 and some 10 depending on brand. Same with dresses.0 -
5'8 (172 cm), 133 lbs. (60 kg), U.S. size 6 in jeans.0
-
I was 171 and a size 14-16 (5'2)
I'm now 119-123 and range between a 4-10 depending on who makes the pants. I have a pair of size 10 capris that fit great, but the majority of my pants are now 4-60 -
I'm 5ft 4" 150lbs. UK size 12.0
-
I'm 5'10. 135lb. US size 4-60
-
5'7" 137lbs. US size 8 dress (but US size 4 jeans--I've broad shoulders, back, and full bust, yet narrow hips).
You're going to get a lot of variation. For example, my wedding gown (bridal size 12) fit me like a glove 10 years ago and same weight as I am today. I put it on now, and it's a good size or more too loose everywhere. Same weight/same person, but very different body composition (more muscle now) = different size.0 -
I'm 5'3". 167 pounds. US Size 140

I second the comment that there is tremendous variation in dress sizing. In North American sizes especially I did notice insane vanity sizing going on in the past couple of years.
Stats: 132, 5’4” (measurements 34-27.5-38)
US/Canada dress size: 2/4
Italian: 42
French: 38
The Italian and French sizes are equivalent to a US 6, but every size 6 dress I’ve ever tried is too big. Also, these correspond to a size M, but I usually end up buying S/XS in North America. The way I see it, as long as you feel fabulous in your clothes, who cares what size they are.0 -
5'3" 185 pounds, US size 14.0

I'm 5'4.5. I weigh 127. Pretty much a size 0 in almost everything. Old navy's clothes are all too big though. However! I have broad shoulders compared to my hips.
A few years back... I weighed 120-122 and fitting dandy in an old navy size 2. So my weight is 5ish lb more and I'm a smaller size now.0 -
Starting weight and sizes: May 2014
Height: 5'5
Weight: 204lbs
Shirt Size: XL or XXL
Pant Size: 16 (US)
Dress Size: 16 (US)
And then Current: April 2015 (34 lbs down)
Height: 55'5
Weight: 170lbs
Shirt Size: Large or XL
Pant Size: 12 or 14 (US)
Dress Size: 12 or 14 (US)
What size I wear really varies on where I'm buying my clothes from but I'm more focused on being a healthy weight and looking healthy rather than sizes. If I'm a size 10-12 and I look good, then that's totally fine with me. But after almost 35 pounds of a loss I only drop about 1 size maybe 2 in certain brands.0 -

Old Navy is the worst of the worst as far as vanity sizing. I can't wear anything there except the XS tank tops, and even those are a bit roomy.0 -

I used to love old navy because they're cheap! No more for me though, sadly.0 -
Yeah, not only do you have to contend with differences between bodies, the differences in how companies size things make this impossible.
I'm 5'4" and 175 lbs. I'm most commonly a US 14 now, but I also have and wear 12s and 16s. In shirts, because of my boobs, I'm anywhere from a large to a XXL depending on how it's cut.
Old Navy sizing is just bizarre and totally unpredictable in my experience.0 -
5'7"
152lbs
UK size 10 (US 14)0 -
5'9"
Current weight 146-148 lbs. (I flucuate almost daily)
Size 27-28 inch waist jeans,
US size 8-10 top0 -
5'8 135 lbs US size 4\ 6. But sizing is so crazy that sometimes I can fit into a 2 and other places a 7! Lol a lot of companies use vanity sizing so it's almost impossible to figure out an exact size.0

I'm 5'4" and 153 lbs. and wear either a 10 or a 12 (US) depending on the clothes. My mom is also 5'4" and wears the same sizes I do even though she only weighs about 135 lbs. She carries her weight in her midsection while I carry it in in my hips, thighs, and breasts...hence the reason I weigh 18 lbs. more than she does but we wear the same size.0
