At that speed, that is definitely very wrong.

Go to this website: Health Status Calories Burned Calculator

Enter your gender, age, height, weight.
Click the + sign beside exercise. Scroll almost to the bottom and select Walking 2 mph, then enter your time in the box beside it by clicking in it and typing in your time in minutes.
    Click Calculate.

For me, that would be 194 calories.

When you click on the banana in your diary, there will be a drop down to select your serving size. Use the grams next time if possible, but for this time since you didn't weigh it, pick the size of banana you feel is applicable.

Then change the number in the box. Where it says 1 for serving, click there and change it to .5

My settings are set for metric so I can't help with the correct walking entry here, but if you go to Add Exercise, type in walking, then scroll through all the options to pick one that closest reflects your 1.8 mph, then enter the time. The number should be relatively close to the number the above calculator gives you, otherwise, you can manually adjust the calories MFP gives you.

OK, took another look, you still need to fix your banana, and your exercise calories. Don't use the Walking on a treadmill listing, as I said, look up walking, put in 2 mph or slower, with your time. Until you fix your logging your numbers are pointless.

I would say an accurate representation of your numbers right now would be 1200 food eaten, 200 calories burned, 1000 net, which means you need to eat another 200 calories to hit your minimum 1200 net.

Oh, and don't log taking a shower!! (said in the nicest way possible!) Anything you do in normal life is already accounted for in your base daily calorie allotment. MFP expects you to shower, sweep the floor, walk up to 5000 steps, and live normally. You only log planned exercise.

It's worth getting used to, it's a great tool for weight loss.

I don't use a pedometer. Just pick the right entry for your exercise, and only eat back half, for margin of error. It would be worthwhile to re-read my post at the very bottom of the first page here, and read some of the linked posts. The more you learn, the more apt you are to make the changes necessary to make this successful for the long term in my opinion.

I don't understand how it can be hard to eat 1200 calories. I could do that easily, without even thinking about it......which is how I got to the point where I need to lose weight.

As others have said, if you have to lose weight, reaching a goal of 1200 calories a day shouldn't be a problem.

Finding it so difficult to reach that mark does indicate some kind of disordered thinking.

I'm not trying to put you down! And congratulations on your awesome weight loss.

But I am confused by a lot of what you're saying. And someone asked if the thread was a joke and you said, "yeah, but.."
