Is granola cereal good for you, ive been searching for cereals which are good, i have found granola cereal and i love its taste and it fills me up.
I put in in a cereal box and threw the packaging away without actually looking at the nutrient.
Is granola good for you? I found eating it has stopped me feeling hungry and wanting to snack.
Thanks in advance.

^^This.
Also, you can look up the brand online and get the nutrition info that way.

Granola's basic ingredient is oats, which is a healthy choice, but many of the other ingredients are often high in calories. As a result, I have had to be more careful about the amount of granola I snack on. Instead, I eat unflavored oatmeal for breakfast with fruit.0

For me, the protein would be too low for that many calories. But that's just me.0

I eat Steel Cut Oats with 1/4 cup of Granola in them. I like it a lot.

There's nothing wrong with eating fat. As stated above, your body needs it. I eat granola all the time. Love it, but I agree that it doesn't have a lot of protein and doesn't keep me satiated on its own. I usually have to eat it with something. Plus, it can be sort of a calorie bomb. Still, if you like it, find it filling, and can fit it into your day then eat it.

Granola is pretty high calorie for the amount you get in a serving. It's also not very filling. The one I have right now is 230 calories for 2/3 cup. I divide it in half and use 1/3 cup in Greek yogurt, which has a good amount of protein and has more staying power. This is the only way I eat granola, otherwise it's just not worth it to me.0

Nope. If you're not diabetic, it's fine.

I usually will add 1/4 or 1/3 cup of high-protein, low sugar organic granola to 0% greek yogurt. That way I end up with a filling breakfast that has approx. 20-25g of protein, 2g of fat, less than 10g of sugar and only about 300-350 calories (plus calcium, fiber and probiotics etc).
If it fits in your calorie goals, go for it.0
