Is granola cereal good for you, ive been searching for cereals which are good, i have found granola cereal and i love its taste and it fills me up.
I put in in a cereal box and threw the packaging away without actually looking at the nutrient.
Is granola good for you? I found eating it has stopped me feeling hungry and wanting to snack.
Thanks in advance.

    ^^This.

Also, you can look up the brand online and get the nutrition info that way.

Granola's basic ingredient is oats, which is a healthy choice, but many of the other ingredients are often high in calories. As a result, I have had to be more careful about the amount of granola I snack on. Instead, I eat unflavored oatmeal for breakfast with fruit.

For me, the protein would be too low for that many calories. But that's just me.

Your body needs fat, it's not rubbish. If you're within your total calories for the day and you're satisfied it's a good thing.

There's nothing wrong with eating fat. As stated above, your body needs it. I eat granola all the time. Love it, but I agree that it doesn't have a lot of protein and doesn't keep me satiated on its own. I usually have to eat it with something. Plus, it can be sort of a calorie bomb. Still, if you like it, find it filling, and can fit it into your day then eat it.

Granola is pretty high calorie for the amount you get in a serving. It's also not very filling. The one I have right now is 230 calories for 2/3 cup. I divide it in half and use 1/3 cup in Greek yogurt, which has a good amount of protein and has more staying power. This is the only way I eat granola, otherwise it's just not worth it to me.

I use a protein shake instead of milk on cereal/granola, or mix yoghurt with protein if I want granola with that.

Nope. If you're not diabetic, it's fine.
