There would be absolutely no difference! But if you're on the bulletproof diet, you wouldn't be eating bread. It's a no-grain diet.0 -

Correct me if I'm wrong ... it's a glob of butter in coffee, isn't it?

#1 makes you think you're cool and trendy
#2 doesn't have any silly pretentions.

I think it is great for folks on a ketogenic diet only. For others it would probably be counter-productive, as the fat would be stored rather than burned.0

As some of the theirs have said, if you are on a high fat diet, then BP coffee is pretty common. For those who eat LCHF, we know it isn't "magic" but it fits into our macros well, and tastes good.
I skip the BP coffee because I prefer whipped heavy cream in my coffee instead. Yum!
Yep, pretty much a staple item on LCHF. Some that don't like coffee actually make bulletproof tea or cocoa.
I'm not following that diet, but I'm eating ketogenic.
I have bulletproof coffee every morning that I'm not fasting. I use heavy cream and coconut oil and only add butter when lunch is a long way off for some reason because BPC is perfect for controlling hunger. And it's darn delicious! Best coffee I've ever made at home.0 -
how many calories is it? No, I'm not interested in doing this, just curious how high the calorie count is.0

It usually has 2 Tbs worth (approximately) of butter, coconut oil or ghee. 200 calories?0 -

Well according to the website for it, it's 1-2 TBSP oil and 1-2 TBSP Butter. So 219 - 438 calories approximately (used the nutrition information from the side of google for coconut oil and butter.....googles source is listed as USDA).0 -
This started doing this before I learned the name as part of my pain management eating lifestyle. Since my pain is well controlled I am sticking with my LCHF eating lifestyle as long as it keeps the pain away without Rx Meds. My mix is coffee, cocoa, coconut oil and 36% butter fat heavy whipping cream. In the first 30 days of this eating lifestyle my pain was well managed and that was a year ago. Now the old fat man is just old.
My first cup of coffee each day is 800 calories in my case.0 -
I was pretty disapointed that it does not, in fact, make you bullet proof. Slight tangent, anyone got a tourniquet?0
-
And I felt bad for having 130 for my coffee in the mornings. 800 yikes!0

lol well i stick to my own black coffee.
To each their own for sure
but not going to drink over 500 calories ( 2 tsp of butter and cream ads up fast) and such a shame of my coffee
I eat my butter on toast and fry my meat in it, and cream i make ice cream with...I know i am boring traditional. But works just fine for me. rolf
the whole thing about giving more energy or burning your fat faster i dont believe in...specially because i dont see the difference in getting those nutrition anyway through the day. So i dont see the use of mixing this kinda ingredients makes any difference except for the fact that you like to drink a bullet coffee. and than right fully so. drink it!
Just the making up stories by food combinations makes me wonder what the difference is when you eat those foods anyway but not with each other.

If you are doing LCHF, bulletproof coffee is a way to get your healthy fats in while drinking your morning joe. Also, most people doing LCHF do not need to count calories due to the way the combination of the foods you eat work. Also, eating good fats helps keep you full longer. It's quiet good, but you have to make sure you use a blender when making it.0

well that is the point i exactly made
because it is nonsense...it is all about calories in and out!
When you are not in a deficit you wont lose weight
And drinking coffee with fat because you like it ok..because you need the fat and like to get it in that way oke too. Up to you
But it doesn't make you lose weight more easier or faster!
Because what you are saying here is that when i drink a cup of coffee and take a spoon of butter after it i wont lose weight or lose it and is more difficult then taking coffee with butter in it.
That is wooo, big time
