If you have an iPhone get the Polar H7 chest band and skip the wristwatch-like things and the associated expense and minor aggravation they entail. I love mine. I did wear it all day and night as a matter of curiosity about the total calorie burn over 24 hours, but typically just wear it for cardio. It has a low energy Bluetooth sync so your iPhone won't be drained, and no wires.0

I just ordered an Polar Ft4 after I did a search here on MFP. It seems like it's a perfect one to start with, and totally affordable. It will be here Thursday. I'm so looking forward to my workout Thursday!
