Yeah that’s rough! The knee is such an easy joint to injure unfortunately. Most exercise puts at least some strain on the knees, so it’s super important to take precautions with them.0 -

How do you weight lift your lower body with such a painful injury?
It’s not awful pain, it’s more of a dull ache that arises from inactivity. Like when sitting with my knee bent for a period of time hurts the most. Walking on it and weight bearing don’t bother it at all. However, I’ve adapted my training to mostly single joint exercises when I train my legs. Things like quad extensions, hamstring extensions, leg curls etc. to put minimal strain on my knee.0
