Any advice please?
I'm trying to keep my calories intake between 1pm & 6pm.
I'm also doing the 30 shred program.
Generally I will workout just before I start eating at 1pm - I think if I do it any earlier I'll want to eat earlier.
BUT is this good for my body & is it the best plan for good weight loss
Thanks MF pals

Good question.. and there will not be a one size fits all and not a right answer for you..
I am not dependent on having food before I exercise.. I work out fasted every morning (I run 2 miles at 5:30 and lift weights or cardio around 8:00 a.m.). I do not start eating until 12:00 noon. I can do this because I work out, come home and jump in the shower and before I know it is time to eat.
Our daily lives and schedules dictate a lot of when you can and when you cannot exercise. The best plan.. well you have to set this for your self. And it may take trial and error depending on your life style and daily schedules, children, husband, etc...

Thanks so much.
Makes sense that I have to find what works for me
I was worried I'd do more harm than good...
I had to exercise in the evening yesterday due to work commitments & it's was harder & I'm hungry this morning!
Think I'll try to stick with what I'm doing (mon - fri)
And then weekends - well they're just a battle of my willpower!!0 -
I just started IF this week - I'm loosely following the Lean Gains method. Due to my work schedule and family obligations, most of my workouts are later in the day or evenings. However, two days a week my schedule allows me to do what the program suggests - break my fast after my training session. I will admit that it's been a bit of a struggle to train in a fasted state - on those two days, my gym time is right around the time I would normally start my feeding period, so I am hangry by that time, lol!!!
Ultimately, you have to do what works best for your schedule. I have done some IF in the past and have had great results with both my weight loss goals and feeling more satisfied (food-wise).
Good luck!!!

I've been following it since September last year, black coffee no sugar or milk first thing in the morning, then some running (at least 30mins) latte at 11am and first proper meal at 1.0

A lot of times we feel hungry right after we eat, this is really weird but 99% of those times what’s happening is that we’re actually thirsty. Confusing hunger with thirst is very easy and it happens a lot. Thirst is a chemical reaction to an unbalance of fluids and temperatures in your body. The problem is that the signal of thirst comes to our brain through the same hormones that control hunger....
Water water water especially iced cold water .....0 -
Thank you all so much. I'll stick with it & see what results I have in a few weeks.
Lean gains website looks informative & interesting.
I'm very good with my water intake , will make it iced cold from now on
