I once saw a girl who looked like this -- AMAZING bod. Tiny waist, huge hips. She looked shopped, but she was in real life.

    These girls are hot!

    ha! LOVE this!!!

I agree! A woman is supposed to have curves and be a WOMAN! :) This preconceived "new age" woman is ruining what a woman should be!

So because have a rectangular shape (by genetics), and a lower bf% (by choice) . . . I am not a woman? Hmmm . . . . I think my husband and the 2 children I birthed and breastfed would disagree with you- I'm ALL woman baby!!!

This is why these threads SUCK- because OP is looking for validation for her own body type and other people feel that in order to validate her and themselves they have to shame other body types- if you have big t*ts and a big a** and you're happy with it more power to you- but don't put me down because I don't

    Hi facken five!

So at the risk of sounding super serious... I have to say I don't fully understand the point of these threads. They always seem to be started be girls who are "curvy" themselves and thus are seeking validation for what they believe society finds as unacceptable. If you look all over the place you will find people who like all body types. Sometimes you will even find a guy who doesn't care if a girl is fat or small. The fact of the matter is what does it matter what society thinks about bodies? The only body I'm really concerned with is my own body and the only validation that I wish to seek is my own. Somewhere out there are men who are going to the love the body I had, the body I currently have and the body I will have but what I care most about is myself loving the body I have. Don't get so hung up on what the world wants or thinks. Just take care of yourself and be healthy and happy and love what you were born with. There is going to be plenty of men out there that will like your body, and your face. Don't worry about that. I don't, my only concern in referrence to other people is finding a man who will love what is inside no matter how beautiful the outisde may be. My quirkiness, my humor, my darkness, my flaws and my intelligence.

    But hey, that's just me.

Basically exactly what I was gonna say. I don't have anyone I want to look like because no one out there looks like me.
We're all individuals and we should embrace what we all have.

Okay, I am sooo out of this thread now, but I will suggest this: let's stop looking for validation from the 'other'. Who cares what men (or women) like, beauty is subjective anyway. No one was put on this earth for anyone else's approval, so feed yourself, move your body, have fun, and enjoy your life. Worrying about what others think is a waste of your precious time and beyond your control anyway.

I am not shaming anyone! You have curves! This is why these threads suck because people can't understand what is being said!

so, if she didn't have curves, that would be what, then?

That would be nothing she wouldn't have curves nothing more! You completely misunderstood what I was saying. People shouldn't make anyone feel bad about themselves. We are all here for a common goal to loose weight and get in shape! Some people like curvy women, some like skinny women, personally I don't care what people's preferences are
All I am saying is there is no perfect woman and society trying to push what they think is hot on everyone is wrong.

We are who we are and we should get fit be healthy and worry about obesity not if we have the perfect airbrushed body!

and if you read correctly in the beginning I stated IN MY OPINION which means I happen to think the girl in the 1st picture is HOT! that I like curvy women!!!!!! NOTHING WRONG WITH SKINNY GIRLS OR ANYTHING AGAINST THEM!

As a man with no skin in this game. You did not say this the first time. You denigrated one type in favor of another.

I believe the words you are looking for are "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that".

What is funny is when I see these posts, it turns me off to these body types because I start thinking they need validation.

BTW I said "Still" because if you notice it's mostly the "older" (sorry) men that say yes. Just making an observation. Younger men tend to not prefer the curves.

Yeah. I didn't really understand your use of the word 'still' though. I mean, when did women ever look like that?

Even when that body type was more popular in the 50s, it was still achieved by methods such as tight-lacing or wearing padded underwear to accentuate the curves. Now they just use photoshop. But the point is, hardly anyone naturally looks like that.

This. You might as well put up a photo of a head on a tree and ask if people like it because most of those bodies are faked, Photoshopped and don't exist. Ridiculous thread is ridiculous.

Go away if it's so ridiculous. I wouldn't want to bother you with such petty things:flowerforyou:

OP is rude as hell and this thread is getting locked up soon because it's full of shaming BS. In before it happens.

I agree with this thread and what she is trying to say- are bigger women still sexy? YES way more sexy than skinny girls IMO-a friend made the perfect comment last night that put this in perspective for me.

Him: have you ever eaten chicken?
    Me: yes
Him: and have you felt the bones?
    me: yes
him: well when I am with a woman I don't want to feel like I am holding a piece of chicken with a bunch of bones-I like a women with substance and something to rub. :)

*sigh* you caught me. I'm secretly a man...

On a serious note, are you kidding me? This is incredibly offensive. Think before you speak please.

My opinion- not that anyone cares - but girls that are sizes 0,1,2,3...etc. get doctored up and airbrushed and photo shopped just the same and no one causes such a fuss! They have cellulite, lines, spots, and acne scars and no one complains that Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Angelina Jolie etc.- get airbrushed, and photo shopped- not to mention the $1,000s of dollars that they can spend on plastic surgery.

Perfect example-porn -NOONE looks like that on a daily basis and if they do they have had so many surgeries there is nothing real on that woman, and it's completely disgusting.

I agree with this thread and what she is trying to say- are bigger women still sexy? YES way more sexy than skinny girls IMO -a friend made the perfect comment last night that put this in perspective for me.

I agree! A woman is supposed to have curves and be a WOMAN! :) This preconceived "new age" woman is ruining what a woman should be!

But I agree with this thread whole heartedly but the fact of the matter is in media, internet, advertising, and everything in the public eye now-a-days is doctored up to be what they think we should look like and not what is real! We are perfect they way we are- we need to just focus on being healthy and getting in shape - not PERFECT in the eyes of hollywood.

I mean come on do we want to end up like Amanda Bynes- yes she has a perfect body-perfect boobs, face, hair everything but lets not forget all the plastic surgery-personal trainer-drugs-selling of the body for drugs and THE CRAZY! No thanks hollywood keep your crazy drug sex-crazed personas! I am good with me :)

    I reacted viscerally to this.
I had someone comment to me that he couldn't tell, when he was touching me, what was bone and what was muscle. AND THAT HE LOVED IT.

I have curves. Lots of curves. Maybe not in the form of a big butt or a big bust (unless I'm getting help from the lingerie store). But I still have curves. The curve of my calves, the curve of the adonis belt muscles, or the curves of my shoulders. The slight curve of my bust, and the gentle curve on my butt. They are still curves. NO SINGLE WOMAN IS A STICK FIGURE.

And regardless of what my body fat % is, I will have those curves. I will still have that sexy sway when I walk, and I will have the sense of femininity that I carry with me - EVEN when I am in the middle of my boxing class. I am a woman because it is my essence, not because I am the sum of a bunch of socially acceptable parts.

I reacted viscerally and wanted to blast the person who posted this.... but I realized, again, she was iterating both her opinion, and that of her friend, and their opinions do not need to matter to me.

End thought: You can only feel body shamed... if you accept that shame... .and therefore are willingly choosing to be ashamed of your body.

Just like any insult... it has no power if it doesn't stick to you.

they probably have more confidence at their weight, than you will at your goal weight.

I like you. You are fightin' for the ladiez! :flowerforyou:

And women at ANY size can be beautiful. Thin, Fuller, whatever....fit and healthy should be the goal.
