If somebody is about to scam you by selling fake gold, would I be rude for telling you that the gold is fake? This seems to be your angle, science is rude.

Many, many people have lost weight the correct way, that is by eating less calories than your body spends. Any concoction that can drastically alter your metabolism enough to burn fat in great quantities would be dangerous enough to be classified as a drug, and be regulated by the FDA as one.

Hi! I just saw your response. No, I do not think "science is rude", nor do I think sharing honest opinions is rude. I do, however, think that an abrupt, unsupportive and despondent answer to somebody's honest question, and showing disrespect for another person's choice that is perhaps the best solution they could come up with, is rude. Sorry.

The thing is, you know nothing about me, or my personal health and challenges. I am well aware of the correct way to lose weight, and I have been doing exactly that for the last two years with little to no change. At the direction of both my doctor and my trainer, I need to bump up my protein by, well, a LOT, and keep sugars low. That is what the Isagenix whey protein shakes do for me. I am a mother of two very young ones, I work 40-50 hours a week, and I would rather spend what little time I have in the morning with the kids than in the kitchen, cooking up enough meat to get through the day and hit my target. In addition to that, our unique situation in our home is such that we can no longer consume any kind of grain in our house, and need clean, organic meats, lots of veggies, some fruit/sweet potatoes, nuts/seeds, and no sugars/processed anything. So yeah, I know about eating clean and being active and watching sugars and watching calories.

I am sure everyone here has good intentions! And we are all passionate about what we are doing, it seems. But don't trample on other people because they do something different than you - maybe they are doing their best with what they have. You can share your opinion in a loving way, and I guarantee it will be better received. Making other people feel stupid for their choices is disrespectful and inexcusable. Anyways. Sorry for another post but wanted to respond to your comment.
Maybe your definition of rude is different than mine. When I see somebody promoting a commercial product with dubious claims, I'm often compelled to point out that the claims have little / no merit. Being unsupportive toward one's decision to buy dubious products is not rude, it's helpful. I suppose I can just shut up and not care since it's her money, not mine, but it's sometimes hard to do away with this character flaw of mine.

As FOOD I have no doubt that it has nutritional value. A professor lost weight by eating twinkies, doritos, and sugar snacks, so you can most certainly lose weight by using Isagenix. The question is whether you can do it WITHOUT Isagenix, and the answer is most definitely YES.

    http://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/11/08/twinkie.diet.professor/index.html

As long as a person maintains caloric deficit, it really doesn't matter what she eats. Given the choice available, I would rather eat cheaper and tastier real food.

Notice that I'm not calling anybody names, I'm just stating my opinion supported by facts. If this is rude, then I guess I'll remain rude.

...but I decided it was natural stuff ...

Where do the Isagenix plants grow? If you don't find it in nature, how 'natural' can it be?

Uh, really? Read the ingredients and get back to me.

Maybe you should say "contains natural ingredients" instead of claiming that it's natural.

Um... to the last poster... Sorry, I assumed you were intelligent enough to draw that conclusion for yourself.... Are you really having this argument? WOW...

Anyways I have better things to do than fight ridiculous arguments that are just beyond common sense and reason. This thread is absorbing too much time and going nowhere. The last, "You said it was natural, not that it contained natural ingredients" comment is just too silly to even know what to do with it. If anybody has honest questions and needs objective answers, message me. Bye all!

Haven't tried Isagenix but have tried many many products, patches, supplements, pills, potions and fad diets and none of them worked long term and I paid out lots of money for these things over the last 20 years seeking the magic weight loss bullet and just ending up yo yo dieting.

    Then I found it. MFP

I looked at the success stories from people who have lost huge amounts of weight and the ones I read all said the same thing.

    Eat at a deficit
    Exercise regularly

That was it, no fads, no pills, no potions, and no spending vast amounts of money.

I have not lost 10 pounds in 10 days or even 6 pounds in 10 days or any large amount of weight in a short amount of time. But for the first time in 20 years I have lost a large amount of weight and kept it off.

I have learned how to manage my weight and it hasn't cost me anything more than I would normally spend on food. In fact probably saving quite a bit by not buying all the cakes, biscuits, meat pies, ready meals, etc etc etc.

So I am not surprised that you are getting a lot of opposition to your comments regarding Isagenix,

Also just wanted to say that Ninerbuff is probably one of the most helpful, polite and intelligent sources of advice on fitness on this site and you can't go wrong listening to his advice in my opinion.

Thank you so much for such a friendly and warm response! There haven't been many of those. Unfortunately I have medical issues so the eat at a deficit/exercise regularly doesn't work for me. My problems are hormonal and involve my fertility and my endocrine system and I am under doc care for it. I already have been doing those things but holding fat and having snowballing problems, which is why I am doing what they are directing.

Anyways I just wanted to say thank you, glad to see somebody can be polite and respectful on here because I am just honestly trying to exchange info and learn. What I am doing is working for me, and I have the support of my doctors, so I'm going to hang with it. But of course we all are not on the same path. I respect other people's choices but would like a little kindness and understanding in return.

Take care and thanks! :) Have a great weekend.

Save your money. Just go buy some regular, "non overpriced" whey, stay within your calorie goal, and be done with the nonsense.

Does objective answers mean agree with you?

you seem to really like to argue.

You change you life through some smart decision making on eating and some hard work on exercise and activity. Companies that sell stuff to you inferring that it's their product that makes the difference just want your money.
For every "successful" Isagenix story, there are 9 more who failed with it. That's the average stats for any weight loss product.

This is absolutely bang on!! I tried Isgenix and I only tried it as I have been trying to lose the same last 10 pounds....at the time I did not know of all the other health issues going on with me .....so I thought doing a cleanse would be right up my alley (even though I have always eaten within my means)....I felt tired and had no energy. I just think the part about good decision making on eating and hard work is key!!! My dietitian and doctors tell me that ... I also took the ingrediants in the shakes etc....to my nephrologist and he specifically told me that this was overload on my kidneys.....but again, i have health issues so not for me...but if it works for you, awesome....however, I also know that one of my friends was doing it and she couldn't afford it anymore and she ended up gaining all her weight back.....

Actually, I thought the same thing about Isagenix and wouldn't "buy into" it for months. After doing my research, I decided to give it a try knowing it is 100% money back guarantee!! I tried it for 30 days. OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!
Lost inches in target areas that i NEVER could before. Every bit of the products are all natural, organic, GMO FREE, SUGAR FREE, ETC ECT...
Since starting in 40 days ago, I feel amazing. I lost weight on Weight Watchers before and has kept off my weight but just couldn't loose those target areas (under arms, lower stomach, back, etc..
Never had more energy and clearer vision. Not hungry, have learned how to eat right, how to eat when going out (which I do often). Never felt so healthy in my life (and I don't even work for Isagenix)!!!
I am happy to answer any other questions!! :)

Curious how she couldn't afford. Once you tell someone about it, YOU GET THE PRODUCTS FOR FREE!! By doing Isagenex, it cut my grocery bill in HALF!!!!

I am guessing that you don't brush your teeth then, since the body is capable of detoxing itself completely, especially the digestive tract. I mean eating is a natural phenomenon that the body is supposed to do, so why would anyone need to brush their teeth, or blow their nose for that matter, or trim their nails? I am sure that you don't do any of these things instead choosing to exercise and eat right which cures every possible ill.

    Hi there!

First off, please excuse my grammar, I am doing this extremely quick. I am not going to attempt to agree or disagree, but my question to all of you is...I had cancer when I was 18, then recurring at 23, my body has been through 11 surgeries, I was in a wheelchair for 8 months, wen through an extensive 4 month rehab, I have a limited to no immunity and I have a thyroid issue. I consume less than 600 calories a day as I am getting married and eager to lose weight. I drink nothing but water, and I do the wii and have an extremely physical job. I have gained weight!!! So I am sorry but exercise and eating balanced too does not work lol I fear some people can just lose and others gain...no science because I have tried everything. I am on this site to get a better understanding as Isagenix has been recommended to me by my encologist. I don't know if it's a scam or not, but I am getting married and am very dissatisfied, why can I not try it, even if it makes me feel better, you never know, maybe it will work, maybe I can be that 1% Besides, if all else has failed, what's one more....Comments??

Sorry to hear about your cancer! I hope you are better now and I also hope you stay in remission. Now as far as your post is concerned. You have a specific health issue that I don't think anyone on this site is qualified to speak to. with that said, I think your tracking is off on your caloric intake. 600 calories per day with your level of activity is, well, unbelievable to be gaining weight. I suggest logging all your food. measure ALL solid food with a food scale and measure ALL liquids for a period of time, say a month. Reevaluate at that time. I suspect you are eating mot=re than you think. DISCLAIMER>>>>>>>> You have a specific health condition that I know nothing about and you should consult with your doctor about ANY changes in your diet.

You people all think you know what works and what doesn't work because of what works and doesn't work for you. We are all at different levels and struggle with different things. Eating healthy doesn't come easy to some people. Some people need a regimen and strict guidelines before learning how to eat correct. Is isagenix something anyone should do for the rest of their life? Probably not, but I can tell you that I lost the first 50 lbs using isagenix. Then the next sixty eating six meals a day. Then the last thirty using my fitness pal and really honing in on it. That is what worked for me. I don't sell this **** and havn't taken it in over two years but it did work for me when I was morbidly obese. Just because its not your experience doesn't mean it doesn't work. Six minute abs works. Isagenix works. Crossfit works. Zumba works. Everything works if you work it.

I know a woman who lives off Isagenix. She is a twig. She sells it and promotes it full time. It definitely helps with weight loss, but I don't know if the other claims are true or not.
