    I'm sorry officers,
I'd been waiting in line for 20m, and the last thing I heard
was the woman in front of me ordering a
    • a 1/2 caf
    • 1/2 decaf
    • mocha with
    • no fat steamed milk.

I don't remember anything after that

Let's keep the conversation going. Choose from the following questions.

    1) Did you ever try the steam room? Did you see results?

    2) What's interesting going on in your life?

What was your gig like? Audience, venue, genre, order?

Iv bought many games from steam too :)
Steam rooms give me heart palpitations.

Going on in my life...... I am dealing with my mother and fathers deceased estate, my entitled moocher brother and trying to figure out who has even stealing from their bank accounts and where the hell their super has vanished too. Reading the rules of probate is not what I consider a fun time.

I've used a sauna, but never a steam room. No results from sauna except feeling hot and that I needed to leave!

In my life: I start a new job at the end of July, and I had to go meet the coaching staff/AD today. It was weird and a bit anticlimactic.

Not a coffee snob, but I do like REALLY good coffee. Anywho...we started on Starbucks this lat winter when they introduced the salted caramel mocha and quickly found ourselves going there a few times a week. As much as I love good coffee, I, and a tight azz when it comes to money and love saving money more.

So I studied and bought myself a really cheap espresso machine (De'Longhi EC155) which runs around $80. Well worth it. Doesn't pull the best shots, but make a pretty decent latte or cappa. Just got the Lavazza Super Creme beans in this weekend too. Damn find grind.

Anyway, anyone get into coffee like this? What's your setup?

Nothing epic going on in my world, really. Well, unless you count the fact that I survived MRSA or whatever it is, and am recovering from a bad wound. I live in bed and am surprised that I haven't died from depression symptoms or brain rot, since I'm Dr.-forbidden to socialize with even family or do anything requiring energy. Overall, life stinks.

I used to have several machines and had Gevalia beans delivered and I've also tried the pods. I've reverted and drink Folgers or generic instant. I really needed to get off coffee since it was affecting me from overconsumption.

    That s.u.c.k.s.

Is reading too much? Can you request books on tape? You can find new joy through growth, like learning another language.

Even books are often boring. I'm already doubling up on Spanish courses next semester in addition to what I know but can try another easy language. Any specific recommendations?

Not specifically, but there's so much out there to learn.

I asked my dd why they dumped their toys on the floor. Why not take one set of toys, play with it, put it back, get another set?

    Her reply, "because we're kids."

I thanked my daughters for Father's Day and for being great kids. The little one told me "You raised us well."

Hmm. What about Portuguese? According to my research, it's super-close to Spanish, but hard to learn. What do y'all think?

In response to your question: this was actually funny and thought-provoking. I was in therapy at the same time as a younger boy. Boy asks why I need a wheelchair. Instead of going into major detail about my health, I politely reply that, unfortunately, my legs aren't quite as strong as his. His PT came to my rescue by ending the conversation, wishing to help him strengthen his.

I don't have anything specific to recommed, just that you can still do stuff and grow while in bed, but you'll have to ask your doctor if its ok. They might want you bored so you sleep a lot because lots of healing takes place then.

    Ok, new question for today.

    1) Share something funny a kid said to you.

I love playing basketball with the neighbor kids, and, of course, we keep the basket really low so they can shoot. So I was messing around and pretended to slam dunk the ball. The kids were just mesmerized at "how high" I can jump. One kid said, "Whooooa! You're cool!". I looked at the Mom and said, "It is sooooo great they have no concept of how uncool I am anymore. lol.

You've got a point there. I will ask but don't think they'd want me tired/living with the blues. After all, neither doctors nor the rest of the staff there are very "down" or negative, as a rule so that would be weird for patients. In the meantime, I have undertaken research of various hand game/magic trick-ish practices, and plan to look for more. That helped me feel my brain work in new ways as I practiced disappearing-finger tricks and pencil twirling. I am still open to suggestions about what else to learn but think that was a great start.
