4.1 gruelling miles for me today. Why is it so hard to build up time/speed and so easily lost (insert huff and pout and maybe even a foot stomp here)??? So far I've completed a half marathon for the month.

6 more very wet miles today. Still, given the humidity and oppressive sunshine prior to the rain, I was definitely OK with a mid-run shower.

    6/2 - 5 miles
    6/3 - 4.5 miles
    6/4 - 5 miles
    6/6 - 0.5 miles
    6/7 - 10 miles
    6/9 - 4.5 miles
    6/10 - 7 miles
    6/11 - 6 miles
    6/12 - 6 miles
    6/14 - 15 miles
    6/15 - 8 miles
    6/16 - 6 miles

    Total: 77.5 miles
    Goal: 140 miles
    Remaining: 62.5 miles

I'm not going to make this months goal after only achieving 4.6 miles over the last 10 days because of a bad back but it's all better now so time to get back out there and get some running done. Today's 2 miles felt heavy and sluggish and my legs felt stiff, hopefully tomorrows personal training session will feel better.
I'm going to change my goal from 120 to 90 for this month.

    36.4 done.... 53.6 to do.

    Happy running all.

My goal this week is to get back into my running routine after a crazy last few weeks. It may be a bit of a stretch at this point to reach my monthly goal. I am going to do my best though!

so about a month ago i posted here when i was really struggleing and at the time i hated running. I was in month 5 of marathon training. a few people gave me some postive advice the rest kinda jumped all over me (what happened to runners be a awesome community?) Training for a marathon, working a full time job, raising my kids 3 out 4 weeks alone while husband works in another state and an injury just came crashing down at once. I think people forget just how challenging marathon training can be, mind and body.

well I still wouldnt say I love running but to the poeple that were kind and offered advice, i followed it. and am happy to say on Saturday i ran 26.2 miles injury free and with a smile on my face the whole way. It was a amazing expierence and I will never forget any moment. I even loved the hard moments.

you are more than half way home..yay!!

I'm about 8 miles behind on my training schedule, but I'm at 57% with the mileage for this month - we'll see how that plays out. I left a few weeks open between the end of the training and my half marathon, but I don't know what my plan is for those weeks - maybe I'll be making up the runs I missed...

AND I finally checked out the procedure to calibrate my treadmill - one of the settings wasn't on spec. We'll see if tomorrow's run is any easier. Perhaps I'll put it back somewhere in between the 2 settings to continue to challenge myself. There's a 5mph button and a 6mph button, but no 5.5mph, after all... But let's not get ahead of myself. I did my 13 miles before I reset the treadmill.

@dawnna76 CONGRATS! That is a huge accomplishment, especially for someone who doesn't love to run. So glad you had a great experience. High five! :star:
