Goodness, don’t those look good? Which did you choose?1

Would I be thrown out of this group if I say I prefer to eat my calories rather than drink them, that eating calories is so much more satisfying towards hunger satiation?0

In the interest of being fair, don't I have to admit I also drink a protein shake after every lifting workout, which helps tide me over until lunch?0
-
what's in a good protein shake?

While recipes abound to make your own using various powders, fruits, seeds and more, don't I prefer to buy the pre-mixed shakes off the store shelf which I can throw in a gym bag and simply drink when convenient?0

Would I be thrown out if I admit I have never had a protein shake in my life?
Would I also be thrown out if I ask again how to get the little emojis onto your post - not these MFP ones but all the other little ones you can access from your keyboard?
Wont I make sure I write it down this time so I dont ask yet again later?0 -
Isn't it Windows Key + Full stop? (Did that impress you?)0

But since I use my Windows laptop most of the time, don't I use the Windows+period key combo, thanks to @Cat0703a having enlightened me a while back?

-
Ah yes, don't I remember now? How could I forget the period vs fullstop debate?0
-
Since that debate is in the past, should we have a new debate instead? Should we perhaps begin with asking whether it's pop, soda, soft drink, Coke, or something else entirely?0
-
Isn't it 'pop' here in the midwest?0
-
Though I grew up in Idaho calling it "pop", didn't my college days in Delaware start me calling it "soda", a habit which remains to this day decades later? Isn't it weird how doing something for 4 years trumped 18 years another way?0
-
In my neck of the woods, isn't it "soda" or "soft drink"?
Wouldn't bubbly be a good example of "something else entirely"?
Isn't Coke a bit too specific a name for something of which there are so many flavors/flavours?
While Coke is a common name for colas, just as Levi's is a common name for denim jeans, doesn't it ignore the existence of a slew of flavored "sodas" like: strawberry, orange, grape, root beer, lemon-lime, etc.? But hasn't even the suggestion of such a debate got me thinking of a Henry Weinhard soda with a scoop of Haagen Dazs Vanilla Bean ice cream in it? Which flavour you ask? Wouldn't I be happy with any one of Root Beer, Vanilla Cream, Black Cherry Cream or Orange Cream?
While we're debating carbonated drinks, isn't it true that, whatever you call it, it is best when made with pure cane sugar vs beet sugar or high fructose corn syrup?

Isn't it also my opinion that cane sugar is better than high fructose corn syrup in a carbonated beverage? Although I don't indulge anymore, wasn't there a time when I bought Coke by the case at Costco because it was Mexican Coca Cola (made with cane sugar)?0
-
Here in Australia isnt what you in US call soda called soft drink?
and doesnt coke here mean specifically coke - ie the actual specific drink; if one asked for a coke wouldn't one expect to get a coke only , not a fanta or pepsi max or any other soft drink
dont I here on the forum call it soda though as sort of a common denominator word rather than use the term 'soft drink' that I would in real life? 🥤0 -
Is it time to share my dream?
I was floating in an ocean of orange soda - but wasnt it all just a fanta-sea? 🤩😍0 -
Don’t most people around here call it “coke”. Like “would you like something to drink? Coffee? Tea? Coke?” “Yes, I’ll have Dr. Pepper, please.”?0
-
Am I thrown out of the "in-crowd" if I say I'm not a fan of cane-sugar colas? Though I've tried a few, and when ice cold they can be tasty, don't they leave an odd taste in the mouth if they get even the slightest bit warm first?
Did you know there was a sugar beet processing plant a few miles from my high school growing up? Once they extracted the sweet juice, they burned the remaining plant, and wasn't that about the LEAST sweet aroma one can imagine? Didn't we know which direction the wind was blowing without even looking outside based upon the smell in the air...bitter disgusting from the sugar beets to the west, or mouth-watering from the potato processing plant to the east? Growing up in Idaho, didn't we produce the vast majority of McDonald's French fries?0 -

Do you live near Atlanta @corinsue1143?0 -

Wasn't there a sugar beet processing plant near where I grew up too? But fortunately, wasn't it about twenty miles north of home? So, didn't we only encounter that "LEAST sweet aroma" when driving past on the freeway, headed to or from some destination?
Isn't that plant long gone now?

Would that explain the lack of a response?0

In another thread, the computer complained I was misspelling "sautéed" because I was missing the carrot over the first "e"...how can I be held accountable for spelling a word correctly when my keyboard doesn't have the proper symbol?0
-
Isn't the fact I can right-click on the word and input the symbol irrelevant?0
-
Is it possible @corinasue1143 has a life away from the keyboard? Didn't the federal government outlaw such a concept back in 2017?0

Since it’s the weekend (for me) wouldn’t now be a great time to share my big news? After an interview last Thursday, references on Friday, offer on Monday, and formally resigning on Tuesday hasn’t my week been a whirlwind of excitement? 🥂2
