Does it count if I just forget on the weekend, sometimes, since I don't have to wake up as early?

Would someone want to start a new thread (same theme) so we don’t have to scroll back so far?
If we did that, could we actually adhere to the actual theme (ANSWER a question with a question) rather than what happens all too often (make a random post in the FORM of a question)?

While that would be interesting, has anyone else noticed that we're on page 3396 right now, while we were on page 5094+ (not counting the blank pages) just a few days ago? And yet, there's still a page 1, so why are there nearly 1700 pages fewer now?

Did you miss the announcement from MFP Staff member Nova that they chose to have each page of a thread contain 10 additional posts per page, so while the total number of posts remains the same they are now divided into bigger pages, thus fewer pages?

Aren't I somewhat oblivious of MFP announcements, but didn't I assume that likely was what happened? Wouldn't it have been weird if they had simply cut out whole pages somewhere between the first and last pages?
But why make that change? Did it fix anything?

Aren't I also oblivious (and somewhat indifferent) as to MFP announcements? Did you know this isn't the case for all threads?

Since we still have blank pages in several threads, isn't it safe to assume this change didn't "FIX" things? May I offer the assumption this change was made in an effort to reduce the number of pages a person has to thumb through to find the last post?

Are you assuming they're trying to be helpful?

Are you implying they have a more nefarious purpose?

Should I say here that far be it for me, as an ex-programmer, to suggest that they may have no clue where to look for the source of the problem and were simply taking a "shot in the dark"?
Is the Vanilla Forums open source software package suffering from a lack of support?

If we give them a round of applause, is that enough of a show of support?

If we clap for myfitnesspal and no one is around to hear it, does it count as a show of support?

So does this mean that 2,000+ pages were ripped away from us and once again have to work up to page 5,000? 🤦‍♀️

@STRAITBUGGIN , are you suggesting we start from scratch? 😨 Isn’t is easier to bookmark this link?: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10175258/can-you-keep-it-going-asking-only-questions/p3397

Would this be akin to somebody having an "over-the-hill" party at age 40 and again at age 50?

Do you think the consensus from the lurkers and infrequent commentors is that this thread has ceased to exist? Wasn’t that my initial thought upon seeing we were missing 2,000+ pages??

Doesn't this bring to mind "What is the sound of one hand clapping?" ☯️

If the thread ceased to exist, wouldn't all 5k pages be missing, not just 2k of them?

Do you think people have the patience to go back 50 pages to see if there’s actually posts on a page though?? 🤔

Do you see how I corrected your post for you to account for stubborn souls like yours truly?

Don’t I have your stubborn soul to thank for pointing me in the right direction? If it weren’t for you, wouldn’t I currently be grief stricken mourning what I thought was the loss of this thread? Didn’t we still manage to lose about 2,000 pages though?

Don't you understand that we didn't actually 'lose' those pages?

While we can agree that we didn’t lose any comments, isn’t it clear we lost 2,000+ pages?

Since MFP is fundamentally a weight-loss platform encouraging reducing every soul into smaller packages (bodies), is not the shrinkage of this thread's soul into smaller packaging rather apropos?
Are you saying you think MFP made those changes thinking we’d be jumping for joy at such a loss?

Wouldn't I be more upset if, in condensing pages, they dumped a bunch of our questions? Wasn't it satisfying to discover that my first post in this thread - back on page 2791 - was still here? (@srazamora, wasn't that during the period of time you were AWOL?)

Does mfp just think shrinking the contents will solve everything in any situation!?🤣

Don’t I have you and others to thank for keeping this thread afloat when I had so blatantly neglected it? 😭
