      its 50/50 that if I don't gush over the guy flirting at me then he will get pissed and angry at me. So, being flirted with makes me anxious and I don't like it anymore because I am just going to get insulted in the end.

      I really feel like it depends. If it's a soft touch, I like it, it can be a flattering reminder that "oh yeah, hey, I am conventionally pretty," but the flip side is that coming on too strong is super gross and triggers my flirt-and-flight response (I don't wanna fight, getting hit in the face hurts). I've had guys try to flirt with me while I'm reading or mid-text and it's like, c'mon man read the room. I'm still gonna smile politely and maybe I'll entertain your bad one-liners for a few minutes, but I'm gonna think real poorly of you the whole time and I'm gonna take the first opportunity presented to run away.

      It depends on who does the flirting. It also depends on what is said. Creepy or gross ones sometimes just turn you off. But then again one person's 'creepy' is another person's 'sweet'.

      I get flirted with in the places i frequent often, by people that somewhat know me. So maybe its easier for my local bank tellers to be overly nice to me seeing they have to see me fairly often.....maybe?
