I'm pretty sure I have never gotten a message from a stranger ever on here. Maybe a friend request from one.0

I've received one or two encouraging PMs, and the occasional question. Honestly, most of the PMs I receive are come-ons (not that I'm tooting my own horn; it always baffles me because there are WAY hotter/fitter/smoking hot babes here), to the point that I don't check them as often as I might otherwise. I've never received a mean PM.
I'm sorry to hear that you have, though. Some people are just messed in the head. I once posted in an infidelity support board, and had someone google search my username and find contact information on me. They emailed me pretending to be the other woman, and said some really horrible, awful things. I know for a fact that it wasn't her (there was no way for her to know that I'd been posting online at all, let alone find the specific forum I was at), but it was still really hurtful. At the end of the day, some people just get a kick out of being cruel for no particular reason. Those kinds of people need serious professional help, because there's obviously something wrong with them.0 -

No I haven't - thank goodness. I can't imagine what would motivate someone to do that other than the fact that they just have nothing going for them and want to spread the misery around.0 -
Report them0

People can be really nasty. You're such a sweet natured, beautiful person. Pay no attention to it, you could report them though. Don't know how it works on mfp but such an act would usually get a member banned for good.

I just get really graphic sexual messages that make me want to mask my IP and add an extra lock to my front door.0

All PUAs are losers. Not all losers are PUAs.
Lol you sound like you been approach by a lot of these PUAs that claim all women are in a box and almost the same routine can work on any girl.0 -

No, I never have. I would find it hilarious and troll the hell out of them though. Like if guy ever asked for nudes I'd send d1ck pix. I would have to think of something equally as ridiculous for the mean PMs.0
-
I haven't received one yet... And please don't start now thanks lol0
-
I haven't received any either.... but feel free to start0

Nope, never.0

Yes, many times. Usually because I've expressed some sort of bluntly honest or otherwise "unpopular" opinion in the forums. They say all kinds of nasty things as if I might possibly care what they think. Ha ha!
But for the most part, the random stranger PM's are generally commenting on my username. And some of them really crack me up.0 -
The only one I got was someone felt the need to tell me that I would lose more weight if I didn't eat snacks. No *kitten* sherlock, but I like snacks. Oh, the hazards of an open food diary. I didn't know this person and hadn't asked for advice on weight loss. I'm doing ok. Although if you happen to look today it wasn't one of my finer days.0
-
yup i have0
-
Don't let it upset you sweetie. It is just a random stranger with nothing better to do with their time.0
-
Pretty sure all my received messages have been super-nice... either that, or they're incredibly sarcastic. Sometimes I don't know the difference.0

Ach, get outta here with that Red Pill bullsh*t. *kitten* field? Losing frame? Women want to be dominated?
Sigh.0 -
I had a guy join, add me as a friend, make fun of me for having a "pig nose" (which I wasn't embarrassed about until now), and then make fun of me for being fat. Apparently he just joined to harass women. He would find women with physical flaws and after adding them as a friend, harassed them about it.0

Your name is awesome. I'm sure they all ask you about the air speed of a swallow....0 -
There's a reason I don't have my face. LOL. And a reason I take the most unflattering, grossest possible photo of my body. It's for my inspiration, not for anyone else. And seeing what I hate looking like really helps.0
-
90% of my friend requests are girls serious about getting fit for that reason.0

While I don't really care what anyone puts as their profile pic, putting up a pic like yours (on the more revealing side) definitely gets some attention, and it gives people ammo to harass if you if they want. I had a photo of me in a bikini and had to take it down because some creep sent me an absolutely disgusting message.
