621 calories burned for 4 hours of fishing. Does that sound right?

That's only about 155 calories per hour which is reasonable. It depends on how active your fishing was. But if it seems too high then only log half of that to be safe.0

To me, fishing covers everything from sitting on the bank watching the rods, through fly fishing, out to being in the back of a boat in a rolling swell. Three very different propositions in terms of energy usage.
So, not unrealistic for the latter but I'd agree the others probably aren't much above BMR0 -
My family and I do tons of fishing. The type of fishing we do does involve quite a bit of movement...... on top of it being 90+ degrees with 95%+ humidity! Got to love Louisiana weather. I have never looked at fishing as someway to burn calories/exercise.0
