Help With Creating A Group

I get the gist of it, but what are the "Upcoming Events" and "Announcments" sections for? What type of posts go there? Also, the icon is what people see when looking for your group and the banner is what is at the top of the group's page, correct? "Discussions" are where we discuss things...
