I didn't see anyone address the fact that she is on Depo which is notorious for making people gain weight. Additionally, I saw people telling her that she wasn't being truthful about what she is eating. That could've been said differently to not come off so judgmental.
I say this because I care. I'm trying to lose weight, too and I want this blog to be a source of encouragement. Not discouragement.
You might want to read the whole thread.0 -

I am not here to encourage or discourage, just simply stating my opinion since the OP asked a public forum that all MFP users can reply to.
My opinion is that she is intentionally or unintentionally inaccurate with her calorie in/calorie out calculations...an opinion which is further solidified by the fact that she prefers not to share her diary.
I am not being positive OR negative...just stating my opinion. We are all grown ups here aren't we? Do I need to sugar-coat EVERYTHING that I say?

There was no judgement ... just statement of simple fact. If she were at a deficit, she would lose weight. The most common errors are inaccurate logging of intake and exercise.
Lying to somebody is not encouraging them.

And I will say this because I care (trust me, I have dedicated a lot of my free time into modding this forum), encouragement isn't telling something they want to hear, it's telling them the truth.
And please keep in mind, it's OK to be wrong. We all have been there before. In fact, there are members of this thread who have corrected me. And that is OK because I am not smarter than I was when I started.0 -

Encouragement is telling someone the truth, misleading someone is telling them what they want to hear.
Yep, these two things. It's also not good to project one's own stuff into replies, either.0 -
Something I have learned in these forums: Log as accurately as possible. If I have a problem and ask for help I will not feel self conscious about opening my diary.0

OP: eat your food instead of drinking it: you will feel more full with less calories. Condiments and sides and the cooking process often add up to more calories than the actual "main course". Individually weigh every ingredient you consume if you are really not seeing any progress. Use www.weighgrapher.com (or another weight trendline generating app) to record your weight and cut through normal water weight fluctuations. Evaluate your progress over a period of weeks; not days. Weight loss can be achieved with a reasonable caloric deficit which does not necessarily require you to engage in interminable hours of exercise.0
