They're super.
Poptarts0 -
Ice cream with protein powder. Plenty of carbs, protein, fat, and taste.
My perceived benefits are plenty of carbs, protein, fat, and taste.0 -
Was expecting some nutritional powerhouses but y'all railed me of the tracks lol.
I feel bad I don't know what pop-tarts are or how do they taste like, heard a lot about them tho.0 -

They're an American thing, found some in the UK so I thought I'd try them. It's 2 pastry crusts with a filling and on top there is icing.
Just tastes of bleurgh to me.0 -

Most of what was listed here is nutritionally powerful.

Nah, the 4 macronutrients are carbs, fats, proteins and tastiness. Tastiness is the most important.0 -

That's because "superfoods" aren't really a thing. It's another marketing term. Plenty of foods out there are nutritionally powerful, as you put it.
If you put this the hype-way yeah, however there are some foods that nutritionally stand out more than the other ones, hence the term - superfoods. People just pust too much emphasis on this word, that's the problem.0 -
Soylent.
But really, only charlatans endorse any particular superfood, because they earn money from doing so, not because any food is miraculous.0 -
Whole foods overall are more nutritionally dense than packaged/processed foods. As mentioned there are no real "superfoods" out there, just difference in nutrient density.

Most of those have tons of micronutrients.
What exactly are you asking for...?0 -
and when I think about it more thoroughly, it's not much about the nutritional density then it is about the benefits I like about certain foods. there are some " foods " that I would spend most of my day writing praises about like for example garlic, ginger, cinnamon, chilli and such. I know these are not proper foods, but you know what I mean. However I agree with the whole unprocessed food thing above.0
-
Oh, well, yeah, I like garlic, ginger, and cinnamon, but I don't think they're anything around which I'd arrange my eating.
My protein powder is substantially processed. It's also very nearly 100% protein. That's pretty nutritionally dense.0 -
Bacon.
Dark chocolate.
Pinot Grigio.0 -

I'm guessing many of the responses are sarcastic, but am not sure.
What are the superfoods? Is there a list or is it a thing everyone makes up for themselves?
If raspberries are one, I'll pick those.0 -
Seriously, variety is king.0 -

I'm not really a fan of the term superfood either but I understand what you mean, which is what is important.
For me it's red berries every time. Love them all!0 -
This thread dissolved into a pizza-loving disaster pretty quickly. I'll throw my hat into the ring anyway, though. I actually love to eat apples. They make me feel so freshened up, and they're so tasty and crisp and refreshing, gosh. Apples. I have no idea what super foods are from a technical aspect but apples should be one of them.0

Lacto-fermented vegetables, such as sauerkraut in a salt brine. Why? They are are full of probiotics and fiber, which is preboitic. It helps restore a happy gut biome. With optimal gut flora, you will better absorb the nutrients from other foods. It is very easy to make lacto-fermented vegetables yourself. All you need is vegetables and salt.0

this is very interesting, thanks. found a site that sell stuff that can help you with this lacto-fermentation process - pickl-it, do you use this or you do this all by yourself with what you have at home?0
