Stronglifts twice a week?

Any problem with only doing stronglifts twice a week instead of 3? I like to do other things and now that the weight is heavy recovery takes to long if I do something on the rest days.

You could do it 2 times a week, I'd go with 3 though. Just seems more worth while.
What are you doing on your other days?0 -
Well seeing how in strong lifts you squat 3x a week. You only deadlift 5 reps a week. I would see some stalls happen specifically with the deadlifts. Most programs don't want you to make up your own routine with using them. I would find another program that is 2x a week if that is all you can do.0

I like to bicycle and run. Recovery just takes too long if I try to fit one of them in on an off day. My ideal would be lift Tuesday and Thursday and cycle/run on saturday and sunday. I'm not stuck on fast strength gains. Just want to be making gains. I'm eating at a very small surplus so gains havnt been fast anyway.
Are there any programs you would recommend that are twice a week?0 -
You'll be fine. You won't progress as quickly but if it's holding you back from the other activities that you enjoy 2x per week will be a nice balance. For my money squatting 3x per week with heavy weights for an extended period isn't all that great, especially if you're adding leg centric cardio into the mix0

You'd need more than 2 days between sessions, but this is one I've personally done and enjoyed (intermediate #4):

Intermediate #1 and #3 (in the link) are also 2x week, but I didn't do those. Someone on my FL did though and enjoyed them, so maybe they might be good for you too?
ETA: All Pro lays it out in the most convoluted fashion possible in that thread, but if you check out the posts in this group:

You'll see that the mod has laid them out a bit better.0 -
