How many calories should I burn each day I'm thinking 300-500 from bike riding

    That depends on your goals.

    If you are trying to lose weight, you want to eat fewer calories than your body uses. That includes exercise but it also includes the energy used to keep you alive and functioning during the day.

    Let's say you have an 1800 calorie per day goal.

    You could eat 1800 calories and not exercise at all.

    You could do 300 calories worth of exercise and then eat 2100 calories (1800 from your goal plus the 300 extra you burned).

    Either way, that meets your goal.
