Food Intake

I just recently started this. I think this is day 5 for me. Having a food journal has really opened my eyes. It seems that I am not eating enough. I burned everything off that I ate today when I worked out. Even this website warned me to eat more or I could have consequences medically. I already have high blood pressure and high cholesterol. How can I eat more food to reach my caloric intake. The site has me at 1800 calories a day. Can anyone help me?
