lost 5 lbs before vacation. Went on vacation for 8 days and gained it all back. Time to start over. I should of watched what I ate more on vacation. Oh well it's a new day and a new beginning.

If it's less than a week after vacation than it's probably water weight as it's close to impossible to gain 5 lb in a week and have it all be fat. My bet is that you will lose that weight again in about a week or so. Fast gain = water weight most of the time.

Guessing you didn't eat an additional 17500 calories over vacation, although if you did - Bravo! I now feel as if you've laid down a gauntlet.

It's just water weight. Drink plenty of water and it will come off in about 5-7 days.

I would guess a lot of that is water retention. Give it a week and it should dissipate.

We travel frequently. I don't weigh myself until I have been home 5 -7 days. For the week after I come home I eat my calories without eating back any exercise calories. It is probably not necessary, but I lke to do it that way. I am a big water retainer, so anything I can do to help that extra weight come off makes me feel better. I also make a point of not eating out in a restaurant for at least a week, either. I figure I did enough of that when we were gone.
