LCHF Diet

My personal trainer suggested recently that I switch to a higher fat food intake. Ratio of 30/30/40. It's hard to get the hang of because I am so trained to go with a higher protein diet. She suggested it because I have haven't made any progress in a while. Has anyone else been on this ratio before?

Instead of cereal or bread in the morning, have yogurt with nuts or eggs with bacon.0

It's my favorite ratio. I also like that it means eating more real/natural food like butter va margarine.0

The 30/30/40 ratio is not actually LC or HF by most definitions. Low carb is considered to be below 100g of carbs, sometimes 150g, per day. Usually that is below 20% of your macros, and fat is usually over 50%, more like 60%.
I eat very low carb and my macros are 5%C, 25%P, 70%F.
Those who eat low carb generally, but not always, avoid baked goods, starches (noodles, potato, rice), and rely on low GI veggies, and some low GI fruit, for their dietary carbs. Typically meat, eggs, cheese, cream, seafood, nuts, avocados and olives are eaten. You'll need to eat at a deficit to lose weight though.0 -

My mother has been LCHF for over 10 years and her macros closely resemble these and it seems to be the only thing that works for her to lose weight and keep weight off.0
