Help!!! I'm going to Vegas next week!
Hi guys. I need the community's help. I'm going on vacation next week to Vegas. I haven't been there in ages so I need your help. Are there any restaurants that would be considered healthy? I'd also appreciate recommendations on where I can go running or hiking. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

As far as food, I can give you a good vegan donut place (Ronalds), but that's about it. You just have to do the best you can. It's a city of excess... moderation is hard.0

Very true but I'm afraid I'll come back and not care anymore. I've made decent progress and don't want to throw it away. I'm just looking for some alternative options I realize that it will be hard to keep my diet.

You'll be shocked at how much walking you do. There is a fantastic Thai place (Komol Thai) just off the strip with reasonable portions and prices, but there are not a whole lot of "healthy" options (lots of buffets, though I would recommend the one at the Wynn). The Wynn has some places with smaller portions and more veggies, but the prices are kind of ridiculous. Your best bet is moderation and a lot of walking. I'm going back in October and have absolutely no intention of trying to log while I'm there.0

Red Rock Canyon is great. And there is a very nice casino/resort close by, away from the strip.

What happens in vegas.. stays in vegas! That includes poor food and excercise choices. :drinker:
Relax, have fun, eat. Return to it fresh when you get back. Breaking routine can cause motivational issues but in the end everyone needs a break. Vacating means more than just leaving home, you are vacating your stressors and lets face it.. The constant weighing, tracking, measuring, obsessing is a stressor... unless you have OCD.0 -

I imagine there is alot of walking. I don't have a fitbit so I dont know how I'm gonna track it. lol, it seems that everyone is suggesting just to forget about logging my meals. I'm gonna try to log as much as I can but I won't be so hard on myself.
I love Thai thanks for the suggestion.0 -

haha I get where you are coming from. I think I won't be so strict on myself but I do want to make healthy choices. At least if I jog or hike I can justify it. You are right though I won't be so OCD.

I thought it would be weird to run down the strip. I imagine fitness is the last thing on everyone's mind. I will definitely try to make smart choices.

There are actually a ton of healthy restaurants here but convenient for tourist, not any that I am aware of. As someone mentioned Red Rock, Lake Mead and Mt. Charleston. Also I know people that incorporate the stairs in front of Fashion Show while running the Strip. And I myself have run the stairs at the Delano.
