What should I count for badminton?

Options
So today I did 150mins of badminton from 9:30am to 12noon. If I log it suggests 1,222cals if I just keep my Fitbit steps it was 8k plus but had a deficit of 240cals. How do I know which to track or if to just go with Fitbit steps? It was pretty competitive and no stops longer then a min.

Short version: log your badminton in Fitbit.

Long version: Connect your accounts at http://www.myfitnesspal.com/fitbit

Set your goal to .5 lb. for every 25 lbs. you're overweight: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/change_goals_guided

    Enable negative calorie adjustments: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/diary_settings

Ignore your Fitbit calorie goal and follow MFP's, eating back your adjustments. No need to log any step-based activity—your Fitbit is tracking it for you. Log non-step exercise (like swimming or biking) either in Fitbit or in MFP—never both. Exercise logged in MFP overwrites your Fitbit burn during that time.

I know that an hour of tennis for me is around 650 calories burned, and Volleyball is around 450 calories burned per hour. You're close...

It's very crazy to me cause for me that many calories burnt means ALOT of really hard cardio where as badminton is just fun for me you know. Hard to wrap my head around it lol

Dude, I always suggest that people should exercise daily and find something fun they would enjoy.
There is no rule that says exercise must always be miserable.
