This!!! I'm currently a size 44 jeans...I see all stores regularly keep 42, but rarely 44...can't wait!
My poor hubs has the opposite problem -he's long waisted but short in the leg, so his inseam is less than 29, but he buys a 30 inch inseam and they bag on his shoes and he steps on the back hem. Try finding a 42/30 pant in the stores.

1. Having to ask for the extension for the seat belt on airplanes, and hoping for a window seat so I dont have the arm rest on both sides.
2. Having to sit in Ballpark/Stadium seats sideways because they are too narrow
3. Having my clothes take up double the space in my drawers, not because I have so many, but because they are twice the fabric.
4. Having the soles on my shoes wear out faster. (And not being able to wear boots because they wont fit over my calves)

I think I have quite a lot of what has been mentioned. The worst is struggling just to tie my shoes. Lately it is almost like I might not be able to do it. I can still fit into booths, just barely. I have to wedge myself in. Sometime I buy clothes that are 2X, and they are too small. I haven't had to use the seat belt extender on a plane, but I only just squeeze in. I can't walk and talk at the same time. I could win an Olympic even for sweating, even when its not hot. I have no energy.
Of course all of this starts to get better as of last Thursday. 5 days in, and I think I am already getting results. My official weigh in date is on Wednesday, so we will see.0 -

All the best of luck bud. Just know that even if the scale doesn't show weight loss, it will eventually. Keep at it!0 -

It is nice to be able to buy clothing in normal sizes, and bouncing up stairs is fun!
I can relate to that experience pretty well too. I had issues with booths and tubs and things around 290-307 which was my heaviest but most of the other issues I never had even then. And at 260 and lower I feel like I seriously did not have any problems moving around or fitting into the world around me. Yes it's easier now after losing another 90 lb, but I can't relate to people who say the world's a big struggle to them at 180 or 200. Not calling them liars. Just can't relate at all given my own experience.
Yeah, I weigh more than that now and I'm in the middle of the normal size range. There is absolutely nothing that my body prevents me from doing.
Frame size probably has a lot to do with it.0 -

I actually lost my butt when I lost my weight so be wary! The good news is, my pants no longer fall down anymore, butt or no butt. Most men's pants sit right at or just below your belly bulge. The bigger bulge, the more it pushes down on the top of the pants. Once your belly goes, you won't find yourself tugging up on the waist all the time anymore.0 -
The chafing and the foot pain I used to have was atrocious. I couldn't wear my sexy dancing shoes any more and all my clubbing dresses looked like sausage casings. Not any more! Good riddance to those problems!0

I swear to God, as soon as I dropped out of the women's sizes, they added a bunch of colors to those sizes and NOT to the normal ones. So, then I couldn't get the colors I liked because I was too small.
It literally happened right when I made my switch.
Grrr.
LOL. So, the clothes were always greener, so to speak...0 -

Different people of different heights and frame sizes hold their weight differently.
If you're a petite person with a small frame, life's difficult at 180 or 200. I know shaving my legs is a lot easier at 155 than it was at 210, and while I'm short, I have a medium frame. I can't even imagine how someone with a smaller frame would fare.
I had trouble painting my toenails, and I still do. I can't see the darned things. Stupid middle aged eyes!

I love that I can cross my legs again, but I will never be able to wrap them at the ankles because my legs are too....short. I am five five, but I have a long torso and very short legs.0

This is how I am now - I've only lost 15lbs of my goal, but my highest weight was 299 and I never felt my weight inhibited me. Sure, some seats were tight like when I would go to baseball or basketball games, but I could still fit. I think it's mostly because even though I was 299, I'm also nearly 6 feet tall, so obviously I'm not physically as large as someone who weighs 300lbs at, say, 5'5". The biggest headache for me is finding clothes that fit AND look cute, because I'm tall and also am limited to plus size stores for my pants (I can usually still find tops in standard stores, even if my choices are slightly limited). Looking forward to being able to just pop into any store I want and find clothes that fit and look cute.0 -
I painted my toenails without discomfort for the first time in 10 years this weekend. 2 months ago it was still uncomfortable!0
-
the most obvious is that my clothes are all smaller. I started at 243 pounds wearing a size 22/24 and am now down 50 pounds and wearing a 14/16. I had NO problems sitting in the airplane seat on our vacation - and even had some room left with the seatbelt! We rented a mustang convertible -- and I easily fit in the seat. I can now cross my legs. And one other cool thing -- after leaving the beach, I was able to change into my sandals (from my water shoes) in the driver's seat with the door closed!0

For me my biggest issues that come to mind are things like movie seats, chairs and exercise machine and scales, I seemed to exceed their weight limits.
Like I would be sitting in a fold out chair and just happen to read the tag and I'm 20 kg over its weight limit. Then I get concerned it's just going to break.
Also I really didn't like being thrown to the ground at kick boxing. It's padded floor etc but I get worried about the extra 50 kg I was carrying, falling on like an awkward arm or on someone else.0 -

Yes...this totally should be. This is awesome "awareness/insight" for peeps that need motivation that goes beyone how they look in the mirror.
Rock on @danieltsmoke ... love it! We should totally be Mfp friends!

At my biggest I had to get out of the car to be able to reach the boot release button - my belly got in the way of the steering wheel and made reaching impossible. As others have said tying shoe laces, washing feet, showering and toileting (sorry if TMI) were all difficult.
Losing the weight and the inches just makes life that much different - we tend to look forward to the big things like travelling without the need for belt extenders or the embarrassment of spilling over into your companions seat but believe me there are tons of little joys to be had each and every day as you find new ways to enjoy a smaller body and revel in its capacity for movement and flexibility.
To everyone Good luck.0 -
Definitely the clipping toenails for me. Also I have trouble reading the scale because I can't see it (I also can't see my feet looking straight down only moving my head, but that's because all I can see is my chest). As long as things stay proportionate, I'd be ok with slimming down there too...0

Having to listen to thin people complain about being fat and then being patronizingly told how pretty I am.
Seeing a nice outfit in a store window and knowing 100% that there's no way they sell it in my size.0 -

I never went above 200 but I experienced issues too like losing my breath when bending over. The one that was the biggest blessing was not losing the feeling in my legs after sitting on the toilet for too long0

or even just a friend who can sew) and have them hemmed to length.
It takes maybe 15 min for a pair, including pressing the new hem, so it's something he should be
able to walk in & wait to have done.
Or get a needle, thread, measuring tape, pins, and scissors & he can do it himself. It'd work out
best if you marked them while he's wearing them, just to be sure it's the right length.0 -
Bending down to get the bigger bra sizes... why do they put the big sizes on the bottom? Us top-heavy ladies fall over!! Looking forward to not tipping over and to getting a size on a higher display hook.
Also, airplane seats! I'm traveling this month and next and already I know that I'll fit better in the seats than I have.
And then there's the boots. I need a new pair and I don't want to have to special order custom boots just to fit over my giant calves.0 -

Hmm, must be some other side effect that wasn't weight related....oh well, at least the bending over still counts0 -
Getting in and out of my car was so hard! I had to spin so my legs were outside, grab the top of the car and pull up. Now I can get in and out without any problems even with my purse on me.
My desk chair at work was uncomfortable and my back always hurt because I could only sit on it...correctly , now I can curl up on it and do my work. Or sit so my legs are underneath the arm rest and shoulder pressed on the back of the chair.0 -
Last week we had a team meeting at school, we walked into a classroom and I saw the desks, now this is a high school so no weird tiny desks, but I still had this fear and almost panic, but I said to myself you can do this, you have lost enough weight it won't be an issue, so I walked over and sat down, AND I FIT!!! With room to spare. I pointed it out to my friend, I was so excited lol! I did notice some of the heavier ladies, sitting off to the side on regular chairs, and thought, I don't have to do that anymore! No more sidelines for me!!!!0
