I'm a huge dork when it comes to my workout playlist. Here are the workout playlist rules I've devised.
- Calculate the beats per minute of the music, and sort all songs from low BPM to high BPM. That way every song is faster than the last one. It helps a LOT to keep you going.
- Anything is allowed, as long as it keeps you pumped up. Mixing up different music genres is a lot of fun. I have a playlist that goes from Underworld to Tribe Called Quest to David Bowie and I love it.
- I edit out all the intros of songs that start too slow.
- Don't be afraid to include things on your playlist that you normally don't listen to.
- Never...NEVER judge someone for the music on their playlist. The music on someone's workout playlist doesn't necessarily reflect their taste.
