Starting Keto, help!

Hey! So I've been doing mfp for awhile and I've decided to switch to a keto diet, because I am noticing that carbs make me grumpy and tired. Any tips and tricks? What to eat and what not to? Thanks!

@atlrox2285 I decided to start this last Aug but after two months I still was eating a lot of carbs so I failed to get into ketosis.

Because I was wanting to try it for pain manage and time was tight I went off more than 50 grams of carbs daily last Oct cold turkey. Thought I was going to die the first two weeks but did not and I have been in nutritional ketosis 99% for nearly a year now.

The pain is well managed and has been after the first 30 days of no sugar and or grains. As a plus 40 years of IBS has been cured and I am under 200 again for the first time in 22 years.

The carb addiction had me and I never knew it until I tried to stop eating them. Best of success.

I do low carb. Check out my diary. Food mostly consists of healthy fats, chicken and beef.

Embrace the fats - oily fish, 20% fat beef etc. 65% or more of your calories will be from fat.

What not to eat ? Banana, biscuits, bread, cake, candy, chips, cookies, crisps, grapes, pasta, pizza, potato, rice, sugar, sweets etc etc

Get decent amounts of green leafy veg in your diet, great for fibre and a multitude of nutrients and low in carbs!

Cook then in butter, salt, pepper and add some chopped bacon and you will be on to a taste sensation.
