Okay...I'm new to this and possibly slow, but what is TDEE?

I believe it's total daily energy expenditure. It's your BMR (base metabolic rate) + daily activities (work, walking dogs, shopping, cleaning...) + exercise. It's all the calories you spend in a day. MFP uses NEAT (BMR + Daily Activities) and then you add your exercise extra. With TDEE your exercise is already included in your daily goals.

    Yup, correct answer.

I like Alan Aragon's formula for TDEE...

Goal weight x (hours of exercise per week + 9.5)

    See what that gives you...
for me that would give me 1049... ! something off there I think?

I'll use myself as an example...

    Goal weight: 180lbs
Hours of Weekly Exercise: Roughly 6
    180 x (6+9.5)
    180 x 15.5
    2790
Great formula and a very easy way to calculate TDEE. Mine came to 2,227. This is lower than what my Fitbit is saying my TDEE is by about 300, though. I probably exercise more than what I originally calculated. My Charge HR is spot on so far.
